Great property, we stayed at the cabin which was very private and quiet. The host was great, very helpful with booking restaurants. We have no concerns during our stay.
Petit Garros is an excellent property in rural setting. The rooms are beautifully presented and the host is charming. It is a 15 minute drive to restaurants.
Classic, beautifully restored, French property in the countryside on the riverside, a few miles from the nearest village (Fronsac). Warm, hospitable host Jean-Charles. Beautifully furnished and decorated rooms. Very relaxing. Good base (if you have a car) for touring the surrounding wine regions.
Lovely place, friendly and helpful owner went out of his way to help me make the most of my time in Libourne. Spacious comfortable room with all necessary conveniences,
This is a quiet place next to a river. There is a pool a beautiful old school garden. The building is wonderful. So many old things with lots of old charm. (Piano). The perfect place for a beautiful gateway that is a drive away from vineyards, Saint-Émilion / Bordeaux.
A gorgeous location on the banks of the Dordogne, surrounded by vineyards. The owners are lovely and the house is gorgeous. It’s only 20 min drive from the stunning St Emillion
We stayed two nights and would have stayed longer if we could.
Greeted by Charly and welcomed into their home. Charly and his father(despite his protestations ) both speak near perfect English.
for food there is the offer of a cold tray buffet that was delicious and red wine to buy.
We had the ground floor room ( Tulipes) and Charly explained that others had not enjoyed the room, but we had no problems, it opens directly onto the garden which was lovely in the morning. The bath room is designed for people with disabilities so it is a wet room type shower/toilet. We had no worries regarding noise, and despite France having a heat wave we were comfortable with the AC.
This hotel is an absolute gem and cannot be recommended highly enough. Go stay there and relax .
Our host was extremely friendly and helpful, it was obvious he loved what he did. He restored the house himself and it is tastefully decorated. although we were too early for the pool to be opened, we walked that way down to the river. We would definitely stay there again.
A beautiful historic house restored for comfort and enjoyment. Wonderful hosts who made the stay very enjoyable, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms. The grounds are pretty and a short drive to picturesque towns and good restaurants. A delightful stay! Thank you!
I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
My partner and I booked the hotel at around 8pm the same evening we wanted to stay. We were contacted by the owner himself as he was away and his father was looking after the hotel. The owner wanted to introduce himself and provide us with his father’s details in case we got lost or if there were any problems.
We arrived in the dark and the owner’s father was waiting for us.
The hotel is beautiful in a picturesque location.
Our room was fantastic, inspiring, clean and comfortable.
The breakfast the next morning was great.
The owner’s father made us feel very welcomed and we enjoyed meeting him.
