Wow, beautiful hotel castle. Stayed only one night, checked out the walking trails - they were so nice! Staff were excellent , so warm and welcoming. Its a must stay when visiting Ireland.
Lovely old castle badly in need of cleaning and comfort upgrades. Needs pretty big financial infusion.
Staff working there were good people. Grounds are lovely.
It’s such an out of the way place. We did not have a car so it was both difficult and very expensive to get there or go anywhere.

The castle atmosphere was great. Our room was clean. Breakfast was great
We really enjoyed our Castle stay for our anniversary. The staff really made our anniversary very special which was much appreciated. The room was very comfortable. Beautiful grounds and trails to walk on. We enjoyed seeing the horses and deer out in the field. Very memorable.
Very neat accommodation. Grounds are fantastic. Service was good. Room was dirty. Had red crayon on wall and a coffee spill. Bathroom floor needs a good scrub and all corners had dirt and dust in them.
We had a lovely stay in Kinnity Castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The TV in the room was tiny and badly positioned to view from one half of the bed. Breakfast was lovely but we were disappointed in the quality of the dinner. I had the prawn starter and there were 6 prawns that were of poor quality….looked like the frozen ones bought in supermarkets. I also had the chicken curry and it was just average.
We love Kinnitty and got married there. We plan to come back. Our only issue was that we reached out to see if they could offer a discount for us as returning guests who got married there. The response and offer was disappointing and we found a much cheaper deal on hotels.com
I loved every second spent at this amazing castle! There were hiking and biking trails, lovely reading rooms and amazing nooks and hidden spots to explore. My sister and I shared the BIGGEST bed I’ve ever seen, and we enjoyed a small tea service one day. I 100% recommend this lovely place.
Had high hopes having been here years back .
However it is beyond need of caring love and attention .
The bedroom was way too small for a couple. Bed also too small for a couple.
Walls paper thin allowing us to hear everything next door .
Food in dungeon bar poor to average . For example Cheesecake not a cheesecake but rather an angel delight like whip on top of a sponge. Nothing like any cheesecake ever seen before.
Both the bar and library have potential but need decoration and new furniture…urgently
Truthfully skipped breakfast as we both just wanted to get going and not waste any more time or calories.
In fairness the staff we met were very nice ,it’s only a pity that there is no investment in the surroundings to freshen and warm the place up. .
We both left thinking we had escaped from a 1980s midland nursing home ,the ones when they didn’t have to worry about state inspections or the like.
