This was my first trip to Boston as a tourist and I was unfamiliar with the city. If, like me, you are a lone female traveller and tourist, my advice would be to avoid this hotel. I don't like posting negative reviews so let's start off with the positive aspects; my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were courteous.
However it is located in a business district, a long way from downtown and the main tourist attractions. It is surrounded on three sides by busy highways and on the fourth side a large area of waste ground/lorry park. There are no nearby shops or restaurants. The hotel has a Starbucks counter with limited opening hours , no proper restaurant and no room service. The hotel advertises a free airport shuttle described as ' a rare find in Boston.' This proved elusive and it cost me $50 for a taxi from the airport. The nearerst bus/rail/underground stop is a 5-10 minute walk and is to be avoided at night. I had booked several tours during my stay. The hotel is outside the pick up locations for tours and on most days I spent $20-$40 on Uber rides. I could have moved hotels but this hotel is not cheap . I had paid in advance and the fee was unrefundable so I opted to avoid more cost as staying in Boston is expensive. Another potential attraction advertised was the nearby beach or bay. Avoid walking there. In summary the hotel did not meet my expectations. I hope this is helpful to fellow travellers.
