Cheap
Had a call before arrival to confirm my booking and approximate time of arrival which was helpful.
Room was ok - a little dated and tired but did the job for 1 night. The most disappointing part of my stay was the shower - it was freezing - by the time I encountered the issue, I needed to be out and away in the morning so a cold shower it was…
Was cheap.
The company swiftly forwarded me an invoice when requested.
All that being said, I would stay again if in the area.
Will someone please put this hotel out of its misery by either re developing it or demolishing it? It was once a lovely hotel but is now dire through sheer neglect. The room booked for my husband was damp and musty with sealed windows. It was freezing cold with no control valves to turn the radiators on. The reception is literally boarded up and you have to book in at the bar. There were no towels in the room and upon asking for them at the bar, my husband was told that the young lady there could not get them for him because she was the only member of staff there and could not leave the bar. She had to email head office who would contact someone to get the towels which arrived at 3 hours later at10.30pm. Breakfast is no longer available because there is no demand for it and you are directed to a bakery next door which opens at 9am. It is a shame but we have to say avoid at all costs.
Hotel need further work. Bath had no enamel on shower screen could do with a bleach. No toilet roll or bin in room despite aski g in arrival. 3rd night had a party diwnstairs until 1am with booming music. Felt like i was unside the speaker. After complaining they lowered the volume but still unacceptable given that i get up for work at 5am. Wont be staying again. There are far better options in Boston
