At first I gave this motel 2 stars. After the reply I received, I downgraded it to 1 star. It is an old, historic hotel. The lighting in the room was so dark and yellow, I had to use my flashlight to get things from my suitcase. The room had deodorant and an open package of razors from a previous guest. The room had obviously not been cleaned. Rooms have no microwave or coffee maker. No warm blankets. The breakfast was cold, packaged muffins and cold cereal with bagels. No microwave to warm anything up. The orange juice was rancid as was the milk. The coffee was just hot water. We got a better breakfast at a gas station down the road. The views are beautiful. You can walk over to a hiking trail.

I loved the rustic cottage feel to the whole place and it was very comfortable and cozy. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was a problem with the shower faucet to where only about half of the water actually would get rerouted to the shower head and the rest would still be coming out of the regular nozzle, resulting in low water pressure coming out of the shower head. It was a little disappointing for the price, and because everything else was so nice I expected a cozy luxurious shower experience.

Great place. I have never stayed at a motel but this was more of a cottage. Can’t beat the price either. One of the coziest places I’ve stayed.

We had a great stay. The only issue we had was that one of the members of our trip was confused by the concept of a hard boiled egg at breakfast. To quote - “how do we cook these?” We will back.
