Several disappointments
The house is a good size with plenty of space for large families to hang out inside and outside. The pool was clean, the heater was functional and the bbq grill was decent. Some of the chairs outside are broken or cracked, and I wish they had at least one table. The fire pit was not functional. The general landscaping of the house is very deteriorated and screen patio is slightly damaged.
Indoors, our first impression was that the house was clean and organized. Some transitions on the floor are falling apart. The kitchen pantry was wobbly as if it was attached. Most of the doors do not lock. The bathrooms were clean but one of the faucets in one of the rooms was not working. Beds were clean and semi comfortable and tv’s were all working.
There were a few roaches in the kitchen.
The one thing that made me really irate is that the property advertised the heated pool in the headline but no where mentioned that there was an extra charge to turn the heater on. When we requested to have the heater on once we were there, they went back to the listing, added the note of extra charge after the fact, and they gave me the sassy reply that “i’m sorry you didn’t read the policy”.
I probably would have not posted a negative review if it wasn’t for that behavior from the property manager because we have done plenty of vacation rentals and we understand no property is perfect.
