First of all we booked a different room, they gave us 4th floor, did not like the room, but we did try to call the reception but the phone wasn’t working, seems like it they just didn’t care, so we left it, room smelled very bad. As we booked before first floor and second floor rooms were good,
The room was brilliant. We had an executive suite. Could have done with curtains in the sofa room as was too light we could see on the bedroom.
When we got there late on Saturday we had to phone to get in and wait.
Really lovely hotel, when we drove up i was a bit concerned as from the outside it doesn't look the best and we have all stayed in hotels like that which need a bit of renovation. Need not have worried, it is in beautiful condition inside, staff lovely room is a comfortable size, we had a room at the front of the hotel and it was really quiet. Would definitely stay again

Lovely room, with historic charm. But a little dated and some mould on shower ceiling so benefit from a refreshed decoration, repair to worn out carpets and extracted fan in shower. Bed on fourth floor was uncomfotable.
My only, small, criticism is that my room was very warm. My window couldn't be opened at all.
Overall the room was comfortable, spotless and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a very convenient location for business wnich is law givem the proximity of the Courts. No travel required adding time and stress to a busy day- instead after a good breakfastyou can simply walk to work!
What makes thevenue is the staff!From reception to the bar & restaurant everyone is unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. 😀
And it is great vslue . Lovely cooked breakfast. Supported by excellent service.Well done!
I wish the place could have an update\refresh of decor! Looks tired! Eg windows in bedrooom sticky and difficult to open. The front loooks worn - eg the flags are torn and dirty.
But as I szy all outweighed by a super team!
The room was too hot, we couldn’t open the windows because they were painted shut. We had to request a fan twice before receiving one. The heat wasn’t comfortable at all.
