Colorado Traction Law:
From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.

Hiking Vacation
We used the house as a jumping off spot to go on hikes in the Blue River/Breckenridge area. There were only two of us in the house so we had more than enough room and mostly just used the main floor. Larger groups would work great in this house. Everything was clean and in working order including the hot tub and gas grill. The location was awesome with privacy from neighbors, two running streams through the backyard and deer wandering through at times. Although we didn't actually see them, there was lots of evidence of elk moving through the backyard leaving their deposits! The one potentially negative comment, although it didn't bother us too much, was the location literally on the side of highway 9 right at the beginning of a 10mph switchback. The house is shielded from the highway by trees and the driveway is as well, entering from a back street with no direct connection to the highway. However, there is LOTS of truck traffic on Highway 9 and the sound of engine breaking and accelerating was a bit of an annoyance at times. Even so, that is no fault of the house and the pleasant sounds of running creeks mostly drowned it out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider returning particularly if we need a larger space for more family members.

Fully equipped house. I wish the cleaning crew has cleaned the bathrooms nicely. The kids did complain on all bathrooms and toilets. Very quite location away from town. Will recommend for future if they clean the house well.

Perfect for a group getaway!
We loved our stay at twin creek lodge! The house is beautiful and very spacious. Would recommend for large groups (we had 9 people, but could definitely fit 13+). The house is about 10 minute drive from downtown Breckenridge and is secluded (resulting in great views). Would definitely recommend having a 4 wheel drive car, though, as the drive way is not plowed and is on a small hill. We hope to stay here again!

Twin creek lodge review
My family and I stayed at this property Dec 29-4 Jan. Upon checking in to this property it was very cold. I suppose to save on the electric bill the owners require the thermostat to be set on 50 degrees. And during your stay it must be set on 72. It would be nice if they prepared the house for guest during the winter and have it warm before check in. It’s a huge house so it takes forever to heat up. Moreover, my family and I found several cleanliness issues to be wrong with this property. There was trash swept under the couch in the living room. We discovered this when we moved the couch back to make more room. There were dirty clothes stuffed in drawers in the living room. The recliner in the living room is noticeably worn on the head rest. The door knob to the front door was not properly assembled as it was loose and it eventually came completely off. The water to the home is from a well and so it is discolored and has a very strong smell. This is apparently common for homes in blue river. Therefore, we bought cases of water to cook and brush our teeth with. The tub in the master bed room had an orange ring around the tub as though it had not been cleaned. So we had to bath our one year old daughter in the sink. When we got downstairs, there was food that had begin to mold near the couch. The bed that is attached to the bump bed downstairs had dirty linen and the mattress was completely stained. The sauna did not work for us at all until a technician was sent out. We went out to grab food and returned to the property to find a cleaning crew inside. We weren’t scheduled to leave for another day. Apparently there was a miscommunication on when we check out. This was a scary situation as the vehicle driven by the SUV was unmarked and they were in plain clothes. We had no idea if they were the cleaning crew or not and we had to ask them several times to leave the property. Although the home is very beautiful in the inside...we were disappointed that the home was not cleaned to standard being that strict restrictions are in place due to Covid-19. When I brought it to the property manager attention...they initially made excuses for the housekeeping team instead of asking how they could rectify the issues. It wasn’t until yesterday, I received a message stating that they would refund 500$ Indeed they were apologetic, however in the midst of a pandemic...more should be done to ensure each property is thoroughly cleaned.

A good time was had by all. The house was everything we wanted, plenty of room for the kids to roam, play hide-n-seek, and just relax. The stream behind the house provided hours of entertainment and the fire pit was great! Saw a beautiful fox who wanted to join our party. A place we would definitely go back to! Thanks for the memories :)

Awesome cousins reunion
We had a great time at the house. The house was roomy and we had plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed checking out the creek that runs along both sides of the house. Less than a 10 minute drive from town. The property manager was very responsive and answered questions we had about the house.

Great house!
This house is roomy and spacious for a large group. We had a great time, and it's in a good spot, except for the traffic sounds especially at night when you might want to have the windows open. The basement beds were uncomfortable and the comforters needed a good wash. If we rented this house again, I would bring some pots and pans. And, there are two drawers in the kitchen labeled "dish cloths and towels" but there was only one dish towel in the whole place. I dislike complainers but the rent per night is hefty so just thought I would mention!

Amazing home, cleaning not thorough.
Overall, this an excellent property. Great location, beautiful views, plenty of space, etc. However, the property cleaners did a less than ideal job at preparing the property for our stay. Numerous cleaning issues were found upon arrival including hair in the showers, eyelashes and hair found in the sheets and pillowcases in 3 different bedrooms, trash left behind under the couch and on the side of the beds, dirty pans when pulled out for cooking, and gravel on the main floor tile upon entrance. A great stay and home that has a lot to offer, but this was overshadowed by the poor attention to detail put forth by the cleaning crew.
