The hotel is beautiful although one road away from the red light district. The service in the restaurants is appalling - don’t bother to complain though the food and drink director Elisa couldn’t care less if she tried.
The lobby, cafe and dining areas are really nice, hip and trendy. The staff are helpful and pleasant. It's a lovely hotel, but the surrounding areas are terrible. The area approaching the train station has a lot of unsavoury characters hanging around and an overwhelming stench of urine along the street. There was a shooting one of the evenings I returned from a day in Bruges, meaning I had to take a detour to exit the station. The graffiti and general cleanliness of the surrounding areas is terrible. It's a bit of a walk in to town, I had no problems with this but wouldn't be suitable for someone perhaps less fit. It's a shame because it's a lovely hotel, the location is just not ideal.
The hotel boasts impeccable aesthetics—stylish and thoughtfully designed throughout. Our room was exactly as pictured: cozy, comfortable, and the bathroom was a standout, featuring an epic shower for a hotel. The rooftop restaurant, Tope, was a highlight—both the food and the service were fantastic.
However, the main restaurant, bar, and café located on the ground floor were a letdown—overpriced and fairly average. On the bright side, check-in and check-out were seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The location is great—an easy walk to Brussels’ main tourist spots and right next to a beautiful botanical garden, which was perfect for slower-paced mornings.
This was my first stay with The Hoxton, and I’m genuinely impressed. The design and comfort of the rooms alone have made me a fan of the brand.
I really liked the Hoxton - great vibe and proximity to Brussels North station which takes you everywhere. About a 15min walk to the city. My only note of disappointment was the drink options on the rooftop bar which were really poor. Otherwise highly recommended!
The hotel itself is amazing! Extremely well done and the ambience is top notch. Our room was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant was very rude and we witnessed multiple other guests complaining to the staff while we were there. It definitely impacted our experience dining at the Hoxton.
Wonderful staff, great room (with huge bath!) cool restaurant. The area is super easy to get to from the airport and it's easy to walk into town through the gardens. The area isn't the nicest but the hotel is great. Would stay again next time I'm in Brussels.
Lovely relaxing place to stay. Great atmosphere in the bar & restaurant, staff were superb and helpful, and very comfy bedroom. Would def stay there again next time we’re in the Big Sprout.
The hotel itself has great vibes, great menus, great cocktails, very comfortable and modern rooms, and the staff could not be more helpful! If you are familiar with the Hoxton brand, everything in this hotel fits right in. This property would be perfect if it wasn't for the area around the location. There are multiple exits from the Metro (Botanique). In theory, you should walk through the park, but it is not signposted at all, and the park can be confusing. The path and steps are steep in places, so it's not convenient if you're carrying luggage. The park also closes at night. If you walk around the park it can be sketchy, especially at night.
We were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade, the views over the city were amazing from this room.
The room was fantastic, well presented and clean.
Staff were helpful whenever we had a query. We couldn’t fault this stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hoxton in Brussels. The room was beautiful and spacious with a lovely view of the city. The only downside was the location was a little bit further out of the city than anticipated and it was a little bit inconvenient to get to the metro or tram with luggage. Otherwise we loved the rooftop bar, cocktails and effortless style of the hotel! Would recommend and stay again!
