I booked a "Room, 1 Queen bed" and when I got there, they gave me the accessible room (for disabled etc). When I asked to change the room to a normal room, they said it was not possible and that I had booked an accessible room from Hotels.com. My booking clearly does not state that so I am not sure who messed this up. They have signs of the 'Hilton promise' which guarantees to make it right if something isn't just as we like it - this clearly is not true as they just brushed me off. Staying in a disabled room is just not the same as staying in a normal room and this tainted the trip as we had high hopes for our Hilton stay especially given that this hotel is not cheap either. Furthermore, the location is not close to public transport and was a bit of a walk. We ended up taking an Uber back. Even though the Ferris wheel and summer fair was opposite the hotel, you cannot cross the road to get to it as it is a highway. So to cross, you have to walk all the way to the end and walk all the way back. On the bright side, parking was free, and the breakfast was great. The waffles with fruits was a treat.
