Pleasant retreat
Manager was most helpful in sorting out a self inflicted booking problem. Staff warm and cheerful. The restaurant food for dinner was the best experienced in a long time. Delicious. Breakfast very good too.

Motorcycle tour base camp
Great plan to use as our base camp for 5 days. Food was first class apart from one day where I ordered somethings I ended up not liking but that's my fault. Food was cheaper at the hotel than in the nearest town of Malmedy in general but Malmedy was a nice as a place to visit. Lots of cafes and eateries.

We didn't pick the best day!!
We booked this hotel as a stop off as part of our road trip from UK to Austria. Chose location as not far from Spa Francorchamps race circuit. The hotel is in a beautiful location slightly off the beaten track just outside Malmedy. The check in was easy and receptionist was friendly and helpful. We'd arrived on an evening when the restaurant wasn't open. We drove back towards Malmedy for food. Unfortunately a storm came through, which was intense (to put it mildly.) The roads on the way back had water flowing down them. A massive hailstorm then started and we had to park for a while. When we could drive back to the hotel, we found at the location a storm drain was unable to cope with the amount of water and was spectacularly overflowing blocking the road. We drove out of the valley for an hour or so before returning when things had settled. A couple of properties at the complex had been flooded and people moved out. Our first floor room was fine. The young receptionist was brilliant and stated she had not seen conditions like had been experienced. After all of the above, would we stay again? Yes. This was a freak weather condition and the hotel and complex appears great. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Out in the sticks, access not easy.
Last minute booking so OK, but would not choose again. Too far from local town and roads tricky to hotel.

Good hotel for Belgium Grand Prix.
We stayed here while we attended the Belgium Grand Prix Formula 1 race in Francorchamps. Close enough and limited traffic going to and from. Stayed in one of the hotel rooms vs. a cottage. The cottages looked great. Very homey. Enjoyed meals in the restaurant as well. Very convenient.

lovely spot in nature
We love the location of this hotel. Just stepped out side the room and started walking on a beautiful trail. At reception, we were given a map with 7 walking routes. Now we must return to complete them all. You must have a car and the drive to Malmedy was only 10 minutes or so. It's a cute little town with lots of flowers...our favorite restaurant is Le Petit Chef...delicious trout. I wish, however, that the room was a Bit larger. We should have booked a room with a terrace. Hope to return.

Gorgeous mountain oasis
Really peaceful location. Definitely need a car access as it is a bit out of the way. We stayed while attending the Belgium Gran Prix and was a wonderful respite from the bustle and energy of the circuit. The restaurant and bar were key to the more remote location - we could come back to a very nice dinner and drinks every night- thoroughly enjoyed.

False Advertising
I booked this hotel thinking I was getting a "lodge" style room as per the photos, unfortunatly I got a box room. 50 euro return taxi fee to Malmedy too.

Great location for a trip to Spa
We stopped here as it was one of two hotels in Malmedy which is close to Spa. The location is perfect, nice secluded area in the forest away from busy areas. There is a bar and restaurant so you can unwind without having to travel anywhere. We didn't really take advantage of the many activities they offered (except for a quick round of crazy golf). Would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Maybe next time I would go for a chalet instead of the normal room!
