The rooms were fairly clean, but not what I would expect from a 5-star Hilton property.
The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the fridge took nearly an entire day to get cold, and the furniture was dated and visibly worn. The upholstery was ripped and, frankly, unappealing. Overall, I was very disappointed with the room quality.
The only aspect I truly enjoyed was the view.
The lobby area and restaurants were visually nice; however, the Fallsview restaurant at breakfast was particularly disappointing. Prices were higher than an average breakfast restaurant, which is expected for a hotel, but the service did not match those prices. Service was slow and unprofessional, parts of our order were forgotten, and meals were initially delivered to the wrong guests. Additionally, the steak and eggs breakfast had to be sent back to the kitchen twice due to being cooked incorrectly—both times the order was wrong.
While the view was beautiful, the overall experience did not meet the high-quality standard that was promised. Management did adjust the bill and provided a complimentary pastry box, which was appreciated; however, when visiting a destination like this, the entire experience should reflect a consistently higher level of quality.
