De Mast at fort Vechten, farmhouse located in the fertile region near the Kromme Rijn river. Enjoy everything that farm life has to offer.
In the middle of the country, close to Utrecht, we rent out a standalone part of the front of our farmhouse as a holiday house. We offer a spacious living room en suite with kitchen, toilet, bathroom with shower, bath and toilet, 3 bedrooms with nice beds, part of our spacious flower garden, a large terrace with a nice lounge sofa and rental bikes. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances. For longer stays, a freezer can be placed.
Breakfast can be enjoyed at our neighbors restaurant/ bakery Vroeg, where you can also pick up your breakfast.
From the farmhouse you have an unobstructed view in all directions over the countryside. Large oaks stand next to the path with a lovely large terrace with lounge sofa that you can use on your own.
You can enjoy the peace and quiet, but also undertake many activities.
The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. For a longer stay, a freezer can be placed. The laundry can also be done for you for a fee. In summer a BBQ is at your disposal. We also rent bicycles.
The guesthouse is fully equipped, so you only need to bring your personal belongings. Breakfast is not served.
Culinary neighbors:
Our neighbors sell the products from their orchards and other regional products in their rural shops. A vegetable or fruit box from Plattelandswinkel De Achterdijk can be ordered in advance. We also have two other fruit-selling neighbors: Pater's Fruitbedrijf and Landwinkel Nieuw Slagmaat.
Baked bread from the bakery / restaurant Vroeg completes your meal. Bread can be ordered a day in advance. In the Early restaurant you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner within a very short distance.
Cultural neighbors:
Another cultural neighbor is Fort Vechten, part of the Dutch Waterline, declared part of the World Heritage. The Waterline Museum is also located on the grounds of the fort. Several events and festivals also take place at the fort every year.
There is also part of another World Heritage Site close by: the Roman Limes and further within walking distance the Nieuw-Wulven forest behind the farm.
The city center of Utrecht is within easy reach at 5 km, and in clear winter weather the Dom Tower can be seen from De Mast!
Play golf at the nearby Amelisweerd golf course, take a canoe down the Kromme Rijn or explore the area in a Duck or 2CV at Duckcity.nl.
Cycling and walking in the countryside of Bunnik or enjoying the Utrecht canals; everything is possible!

Terms and conditions - B&B De Mast
Article 1: These terms and conditions are intended for guests of B&B De Mast in Bunnik, called “tennant” from now on. The hosts, called “owner”, make sure that the accomodation is in good order at the arrival of the “tennants”. The tennant will receive the keys from the owner and makes sure to return the keys at the end of the stay.
Article 2: The tennant agrees to inhabit the guest areas as can be expected and leave the property reasonably clean. Any damage must be reported to the owner(s) within a day after the tennant’s departure.
Article 3: The tennant treats and handles amentities and devices the normal way. Should anything accidentally break without this being reported to the owner, then the owner owes compensation from the tennant.
Article 4: The owner cannot be held accountable for any loss or damage to personal belongings of the tennant or due to unforeseen circumstances (like f.e. bad weather, a temporary breakdown of the internet connection or anything like that).
Article 5: We rent bicycles and child seats can also be rented.
Article 6: We can place indoor and outdoor toys for children. Please let us know if you would like to use it.
Artikel 7: Smoking in-doors is strictly prohibited. Possible extra costs because of smoking will be passed on to the tennants. One is allowed to smoke outdoors. It is also forbidden to light candles inside.
Article 8: Pets are not allowed on the property!
Article 9: Check-in from 3:00 p.m. Check-out before 10:00 a.m. Variations on forementioned times should be negotiated in advance by phone or by email. Leaving your luggage before check-in time is always negotiable.
Article 10: During the day it is allowed for a tennant to receive company, but no more than two visitors and always in consultance with the owner. When having company the tennant is always responsible for the guest areas. Parties and celebrations are, with the possible exception, not allowed. The tennant is not allowed to have guests stay for the night. Should this be the case, it is for the owner to decide if extra costs should be passed on to the tennant.
Article 11: There is no breakfast served at B&B The Mast. Tennant is informed about this.
Article 12: The tennant is allowed to join the owner for a visit to the stables and the machine storage. If not in the company of the owner it is not allowed for the tennant to be on company’s grounds.
Article 13: The owner is not liable for any damage or personal injury of the tennant during a stay at De Mast.
Article 14: 'Oskam Dairy' is our business with milking cows. This comes with a certain amount of activity on our terrains and company.
