Old, run-down, but safe
In spite of many bad reviews, we needed a place to stay after vacationing on Caye Caulker before our flight home and this was the only hotel we could find near the ferry and airport. The reviews are accurate, this is a very old, run down hotel. The pool looked clean enough, but many times around the pool are broken to the point of being dangerous. There was a dead bird there near the entrance to the game room that looked like it had been there for at lease a few days and what was once either a kids pool or jacuzzi we completely overgrown and gross. But the room was clean enough and we felt safe and comfortable sleeping there. The restaurant looked deserted, so we went next door to the pizza place for dinner and that was nice, food was good, lots of local families there. The staff seemed to be doing their best. This is not a place for a vacation, but if you need a place to sleep in transition to somewhere else, it’ll do.

The property is not the best however sufficient for a two days stay before San Pedro really happy the pool was clean to swim a nice dinning near by named Ochuna really good fancy feeling place. Would stay here again after trying the golden bay if need be

There were insufficient towels in our bathroom. There were no hand towels nor was there a floor mat for after the shower. The restaurant was nice but the food was slow in coming even though there were only a few customers seated when we were there. Our room was nice and comfortable.

I stayed at this property the night before flying out of Belize. The hotel is large and has a bar, casino, theater, and restaurant however I wanted to eat there after a long day and was told it would be 1-2 hours before food would come out of the kitchen. The room was clean but outdated as others have mentioned. There were also no towels upon arrival but 2 were brought up after asking. I never recieved any coffee but some was available with the free breakfast. The key cards deactivated during dinner but I was told they are sensitive and to keep the magnetic strip away from my phone. There is no shuttle service to and from the airport or water taxi but you can book through the tours desk at the hotel which is overpriced but shuttle arrives on time with a friendly driver. Overall I would suggest staying here for a night to get to the airport but wouldn't recommend for a long vacation.

By far the best value in Belize City with a nice view over the Caribbean from every room. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The food is very good but limited menu but there are numerous dining options within a short 5 or 10 minute walk. Very safe to walk around the area at night. I highly recommend Ramada Princess Hotel when in Belize City

Don't want to review it in detail because we feel bad for the staff if people stay away from this hotel. If it weren't for the staff would definitely rate it differently as no matter how hard they try the property is just too old & not maintained. It looks as though the owners are just letting run down because tourism is booming so they can make money without having to maintain it! I've photos of the dumpster areas inside the property & everything in the rooms just breaking down.

Property is decent but the service can definitely be improved. Ive stayed several times before. Most times you have to call for towels. Then they bring only 1 wash cloth....eventually. never got the iron I requested. The breakfast is ok just a long wait since theres only 2 people working

I'm not at all a picky person but, I'll give it to you straight. When you first walk in the door everything seems to be pretty decent. You can tell it's an older hotel but, the AC was cool in the lobby.The Casino is pretty modern and nice.. The staff in the lobby (check-in) was very friendly.. The room was very aged but, clean, and the beds were very comfortable, and cold AC, I slept great.. But the bathroom was pretty rough, the drain in the tub did not work well, the bathroom was just overall, was on the rough side.. The pool was very nice but, the area around the pool was basically abandoned and in very rough shape. Breakfast? well the dining room was decent but the staff wasn't overly friendly. The food was very basic but the omelet was good.. The sausages was just cooked hot dogs with vegetables.. Would I stay here again? Probably not unless I didn't have any other options..

Decent hotel, no major issues, but it can definitely use some upgrades and improvements in cleanliness. The key cards kept getting disabled and it wasn’t just my room having the issue. The food is subpar, wish they provided more local options. I’ve stayed a few times during last minute trips and for the convenient location.

The Ramada was perfect for our weekend getaway. Taxis were right out front rather to offer you transportation. Rooms were clean and well kept.
