This was one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. The pictures can’t do it justice. Once you venture down the road to the house - the adventure starts! You definitely need a 4x4! The house blends in with the natural environment and you see that with every detail. We were only a family of four but 2 families could have stayed here with room to spare. The main living area is open air and we enjoyed cooking all of our meals in the well appointed kitchen . The pool area was perfect for relaxing and cooling off at the end of a busy day exploring. The seating area by the ocean was breathtaking and my favorite place to enjoy coffee in the morning. My favorite was the bedrooms. Imagine laying in bed in a tastefully decorated room and listening to the ocean waves only a few away. The mystifying sounds of the howler monkeys will wake you up in the morning and you will be delighted by the screeching of the Scarlett macaws in the background. It was the soundtrack of our visit I was worried about the bugs as my son attracts bugs everywhere. I don’t think we saw more than a few and nothing that bit. There was no issues at all with bugs. The caretaker was kind and helpful and we were able to get our laundry done while there. Casa verde is the perfect jungle house on the beach. Capuchin monkeys and scarlet macaws are your neighbors and you are immersed in the rainforest wildlife. Amazing coffee was provided. I would recommend this home to everyone except i don't want it to be booked up next time i visit! It takes about 30 minutes off the main road in a 4x4 but it is well worth the journey. Incredible home, wish i was still there!

Unique getaway, lots of wildlife. If you stay here do dinner at the Bosque del Cabo, lots of wildlife and a great meal. Make sure you're prepared for the rough road in!

This was an amazing space for a week away with our kids and spouses, who all live in different cities. Tranquil space with lots of options for more excitement (e.g. surfing lessons), and a constant nature show of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Delicious food, and friendly staff who went the extra mile (one of our daughters twisted her knee on the first day and needed a few more rides than we'd planned on). We absolutely plan on another visit, hopefully soon!

Bosque del Cabo is a destination in itself. Overlooking the Pacific and Gulf on the Osa Peninsula it is beautifully maintained, wildlife are all around, trails are rugged and moderate, and the staff could not be more personal and helpful. Meals are delicious We had menu choices for breakfast and lunch; dinner was a communal buffet with many options. There are cookies out and cocktail appetizers. Our cabin was perfect-a thatched spacious casita with a large bathroom and lovely outdoor garden shower. All very private. The deck had lounge chairs, hammock, table and chairs and a breathtaking view of the ocean with birds swooping all day. The owner was just wonderful and on the property and the people we met were very interesting and good company. I highly recommend Bosque! We can’t say enough good things about it. Be aware, the road to the airport and beach is a very bumpy ride and the planes from San Jose are only 10-seaters.

The tree house was clean, luxurious and beautiful. The grounds are amazing. One criticism is the infinity pool never worked. The caretaker quickly took care of any concerns we had. Another concern is we reached out to the property manager for guidance on what to buy and bring to the treehouse such as food, etc and we never heard back. We didn’t realize we would have a full size refrigerator so we did not buy enough groceries. Because of the difficulty with the roads and actually getting to the treehouse, this would have been helpful because heading back into town was not an easy thing to do. Having said all that, our experience was one we will never forget. Joel, the caretaker, was so kind and helpful. He was always on site which was reassuring. The closeness to the jungle/forest was exhilarating and calming. The beauty of the place is indescribable. The ocean was closer than we expected and the sound of the sea, the monkeys howling and the birds as well as everything else we heard was like an orchestra. It was amazing and we would go again. We were pleasantly surprised not to have to worry about flying insects, however, this may not be the case all year round. Be prepared to have birds fly through and an occasional visit from monkeys, all of this just made the experience that much more remarkable.
