Property has really gone downhill. Bathroom was dirty and falling apart, AC did not work properly and was very noisy, there was a total of 3 chairs by the pool so we could not get a chair.
We left early and are trying to get a refund.

An amazing spot for enjoying the sunset, quiet, safe and with the friendliest and kindest staff.
Not the best pillows and a very noisy A/C, also the street to get there isn't that good. But apart from that, we loved our stay there and we will definitely be back!

Cerrado, she said
After a long drive and many unanswered emails from the hotel, we arrived only to be told that it was “cerrado” Closed. The caretaker was nice but seemed very confused by our arrival. No English spoken. It was very disconcerting
I have been going to Casa Caletas for over 20 years. It was a beautiful boutique hotel one of my favorite places in the world. However about 10 years ago it changed hands and the new owner is not putting The necessary maintaine into the property. The sink had no Coldwater shower was missing a handle on the hot water control small but important things. It saddens me to watch such a beautiful property go downhill.

Best site facilities in deterioration process.
The site could not be better. The facilities are falling down due to lack of investment!
The hotel is nice but it leads to a place where a river meets the sea and it's no easy task to get to the sea shore. The roads are a headache, not for a small automovile, just 4x4. If you find yourself near Playa Bongo and Coyote, don't hesitate to stay in there. It may be a little overprices, but it's the best you can find.
Stay here! This place was worth the stop. Very nice rooms, great staff, really fun kayak tour up the river. The pool is great! Highly recommend heading here!
Casa Caletas is the ultimate escape to paradise. It is remote, tranquil, and totally pura vida. It's worth the drive and adventure to experience a private tropical beachfront paradise away from the hustle of touristy Costa Rica. Enjoy the breakfast, search for sanddollars on the private long stretch of beach, enjoy the spectacular infinity pool, and enjoy the quality customer service from local Ticos! Great food, great adventure.
This well worth going to for the view and the peop
The road in is very difficult nearly impossible at the height of the rainy season. Very beautiful, very nice people. Service is thoughtful and good food. the facilities are clean and well cared for. This is a True getaway. definitely want to stay more than a day or two to enjoy the area and view.
This hotel is a great place to go and rest, there is nothing around, just the beach and a river that goes to the ocean, great view. If you are going, make sure you use the ferry that goes to Naranjo, if you take the one of Tambor you are gonna have to drive like 3 hours...
From the ferry (Naranjo) to the hotel is like 60 km drive, 50% is good street the other 50% is really bad but you can make it in a single car.
If you want to go to Santa Teresa is an 1 hour drive, really bad street, you have to cross two rivers and drive over the beach, literally, for this you must go on big car (4x4).
Food is really good, I really like the experience...
it was great, but the cook certainly did not know how to cook foods properly. just as it is in costa rica. Most costa rican establishments are loww in food quality and the food does not have any flavor at all.
This place was breathtaking. The landscaping, the views, the food, the service and the incredible infinity pool on a cliff made it unforgettable. The staff was super helpful. It is secluded so its good to have your own transportation, but the ATV adventures are another story. LOVE this place!
I stayed here for one night and was welcomed by a friendly hostess. However I was quite disappointed with the room because it was infested with bugs, especially ants. There were ants everywhere! The room itself was very nice and it would have been pretty much a perfect stay if not for the infestation. I tried to kill the ants (at least 15) but they just wouldn't go away and I would continue to find more. And then I found another surprise in the bathroom the next morning that wasn't ants, but a crab in the shower instead. I don't know how it got there but it was in the shower. The breakfast view was spectacular and it was nice to kayak just outside the hotel. However if this bug issue could be fixed I think it would make a person's stay much more comfortable.

Great Experience!
Alberto y Victor are great people, the quality of service and food is just the best. There's always space to improvements, like I little maintenance in ceilings, some chairs among others. Otherwise, the view is amazing, so peaceful and you have options if you are and adventure people.

We were not able to stay at the hotel even though we booked it. We needed a four wheel drive vehicle to get there and were not aware of this until we got to Samara. When asking for directions we were told our two wheel drive rental car would not be able to navigate the roads. So regretfully we had to stay in Samara that night.
Our room was lovely and you must see the location of Casa Caletas ! You will enjoy your own beach resort and the view is amazing. Sunset is lovely and the infinity pool is relaxing and cool. The staff is wonderful and we rated our stay at this hotel with an A You will be pleased you stayed here.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo:80$ a notte colazione inclusa!
