Calodyne villa is a cosy house built in a quiet residential area. It has a beautiful tropical garden planted with mango and coconut trees and its own private swimming pool.The villa is detached and has 2 double bed rooms on the first floor with both having access to a balcony from which one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and the islands just off the main land. All 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. On the ground floor there is a good sized sitting room with a TV, DVD ,cable channels and a dining room with a round table which can sit 8. The kitchen is fully equipped and guests also have access to a 50MBS optic fiber broadband connection free of charge. There are 2 WC,s ,1 upstairs and 1 downstairs and one bathroom. A maid is at your service daily for one hour except on sundays . The centre of Calodyne Village is only 900 metres away and there is a small supermarket named Inter Mart. There is also a fruit and vegetable shop as well a a butcher's shop, a pharmacy , 2 restaurants and 2 street food shacks.Grand Bay the main city in the north is a 10 mins drive by car .In Grand Baie there are 3 big malls with supermarkets,shops and restaurants .If you want to take the public transport the bus stop is near Intermart and buses run every 30 mins or so. The nearest place of worship is a Catholic church in Cap Malheureux famous for its red roof

Cosy villa Jan 24
Amazing, so pleased we chose Cosy villa. The villa was extremely comfortable, spacious and very well kitted out, with a lovely pool that was cleaned and maintained daily. Phillipe was the perfect host, so helpful and attentive . Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after, especially during the cyclone. Phillipe went above and beyond what we would expect of our host. We were a bit concerned that Callodyne would be too quiet but it was a lovely village with excellent facilities that met all our needs - great food outlets including a new Deli, dive shop, supermarket. Car is needed for short drive to p Pereybere where there is a good public beach. We would say this is the best villa experience we have had and highly recommend to others.

Great to have a home from home stay. Philippe is a great host. He took us to the supermarket on our first day & drove us to some local beaches. Always on hand if needed. We enjoyed our stay. Swimming pool was welcome in the heat.

Wonderfully relaxing stay
Philippe is such a great host. Upon arriving he drove us around the area showing us stores, bakeries, beaches, etc. We even stopped by a bakery for some treats. At the villa he took time to show us everything and was always available for questions and help. The villa is very spacious and comfortable. This visit it was only the two of us but we could have been very comfortable with 4 more people. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The bedrooms were large and had lots of storage. We also appreciated and enjoyed that the balcony off the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the area and being only a couple of blocks from the beach. We spent a couple of days literally doing nothing but relaxing at the villa beside the pool. There is something special to having the entire property to ourselves! We enjoyed the tasty mangoes from the trees in the back as well as making tea out of the lemongrass planted just outside the kitchen. Philippe hires a cleaning person to come daily, even to do the dishes, which is a real treat! One day Philippe came but to tell us we had a flat tire and loaned us the tools to change it (since our rental was missing the tools) and offered to help. We have stayed in dozens of places all over the world and would say that Philippe is at the very top of the list in the best of hosts out there. Thank you, Philippe! We hope to be able to return one day.

Perfect for Us
Philllipe is a kind and attentive host. He went over and above to make sure we had a good holiday. The villa suited our needs and we enjoyed exploring the north of the island. It was essential to have a car, although we enjoyed walking a short way down to the shore to see the fishermen bring their boats in. We were in Mauritius at the hottest time of the year which made the pool a very welcome asset. Everything at the villa worked well, excellent WiFi , good aircon.

Wonderful, relaxing place!
We really loved staying at this tranquil villa! The place has everything you need and the owner, Philippe, is a very friendly and helpful host. The bedrooms are a good size with both ceiling fans and air con (we didn't need the air con as our visit was in the Mauritian winter). The kitchen has everything you need in it, microwave, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is a lovely garden with a great little pool. As others have said, the location is a little out of the way so a hire car is recommended. There are two very good restaurants within walking distance: a pizza place and Linda's Place which has excellent Mauritian food. There is also a lovely little beach within walking distance. By car, you can get to Grand Baie, the wonderful Mon Choisy and Troy Aux biches, all within a few minutes drive. Philippe can also put you in touch with a good car hire place with very reasonable prices. We've just arrived home but are missing this place already. Special thanks to Philippe and of course, Mary the maid :-)

This is a lovely , clean property set in a pretty garden with a pool. You need a rental car as it is a bit isolated. The Daily maid MARIE is lovely and the owner Philipe cannot be faulted in his care of the guests and the property. He managed to get us scarce flights home after the Covid19 lockdown. We had a lovely 6 week stay and we hope to return. Thank you.

Private,well equipped villa
Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided. Philippe, the owner, goes over and above what is necessary to make sure that you enjoy the time in his villa. He lives next door and cleans the pool every morning and waters the garden every evening so is always at hand if needed. Very, clean and comfortable. Well recommended.

Wunderschöne 3 Wochen durften wir hier in Calodyne verbringen. Für Selbstversorger ist das Haus ideal. Die Küche ist sehr gut Küche. Ein Grill ist auf der Terasse. Der Supermarkt ist leicht zu erreichen. Ein Auto ist trotzdem gut, auch wenn regelmäßig Busse nahe am Haus halten. Es ist sehr ruhig und abseits der Hauptstrasse. Gelegentlich hört man am frühen Abend Musik vom Hotel in der Nähe, was uns aber nicht störte. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen, da es alles für einen schönen und privaten Aufenthalt bietet. We had a great time here, Philippe is a very friendly and caring host, gives a lot of valuable guidance for the stay, including rental car reference, and excursions. The house is very well equiped, you will find everything you need, comfortable beds, terrace, balcony, aircon in the bedrooms, cleaning service daily, calm surrounding. Nicely positioned for excursions on the entire island and nice beaches and shops close by. We will come back here again :-)

Nous avons séjourné 15 jours dans cette villa et nous ne regrettons pas !!La maison est au calme et bien située (plages, villes, marché). Philippe et Marie sont très aimables et serviables, très discrets. La villa est très fonctionnelle et notre grand bonheur quand nous y avons trouvé même une chaise bébé ! Merci Philippe !! Superbe séjour à ne manquer
Nous avons séjourné 10 jours a calodyne avec notre fille d'un an. Cette villa est idéale pour des vacances reposantes et la piscine pour se détendre. M. Lesage a été de très bons conseils (bonnes adresses et visites) et nous a réservé le meilleur accueil. Marie la femme de ménage est une dame très charmante qui a même gardé notre fille durant un après midi où nous nous sommes échappés pour un moment de détente dans un spa à quelques kilomètres. Bref une location à ne pas manquer avec un propriétaire qui a su rendre notre séjour des plus agréables. Nous espérons revenir à calodyne villa au plus vite ! Merci encore à M. Lesage pour son accueil si chaleureux plein de petites attentions qui sont si agréables.

Back again for the 5th time ...
Back again for the 5th time ... what does it mean? No, we are no relatives and it is not the only accomodation in Mauritius :-) Still we love this house and all the amenities in the peacefull surrounding and we enjoyed our stay as much as the last times. There is nothing you will miss if you like to have a cosy accomodation with selfcatering possibilities and if you have a car (you should have) it is a perfect location for nice daytrips to the beaches that are pretty near. If you like your privacy don't hesitate to book in. It is worth to stay for 2 weeks ore more. You won't regrete. Guenter and Erika from Munich/Germany.

Fantastic place for a relaxing stay
Nice villa with a beautiful garden and pool.Its equipped with everthing needed. The owner is very caring,he even showed us around nice places in the surroundings at the first day,helped with organizing rental car and taxi and had plenty of inside information.Thanks to him and his sympathic maid we had an excellent stay.
