This mountainside home was largely as advertized, and we had a wonderful time. The common spaces were great for our group (five men friends). The two well-appointed, full baths, worked fine for the 5 of us. Curiously, access from one of the downstairs bedrooms (three bunks and a queen) is essentially through the master bedroom (which does not have an ensuite bath), but I guess if it’s your kids coming through, that’s ok. In general, the bed layout seems to work well for two couples and lot of kids/friends, as there are only the two queen beds.
We were here for a short ski weekend, so we didn’t avail ourselves of any of the outside use spaces, though they seemed more than ample. We did enjoy the glassed in porch off the common spaces, as well as the wonderful views it afforded to the southwest. We cooked all our meals in the unit, and that worked well for us. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, but it you want to fry/sauté anything, bring your own frying pan/skillet; we couldn’t find one. There were two small/medium saucepans and one larger pasta-sized pot. Bear in mind that, while it advertises accommodating 16 or more, the dining room table seats six, and the kitchen island/work surface has 6 stools around.
All in all we had a great time. Check-in and check-out was quite easy. Just make sure to click “Show More” in the “House Rules” section, so you don’t get surprised by the $50 fee for not taking your trash away with you.
