This resort was a little underwhelming for a Westin usually they have higher standards. The layout was huge and confusing. We didn’t find the spa and gym until the 3rd day. It wasn’t advertised on Expedia as being a cashless resort so we wasted time converting US cash and now will have to convert it back loosing 5% off our money. We didn’t get our welcome package until the second last day so we could have saved money on restaurants but we weren’t made aware in a timely manner. Our flight arrived early and there was no attempt made to help us check in early even tho the room was very clearly ready well before 4pm. We were expected to wait in line again at 4 after already pre swiping my credit card for check in when we arrived at noon. By that time I was getting cranky as we had an early flight and the front desk was arguing with me. It was $20 USD for a bottle of water at their shop and $20 for onion rings but yet like $8 for fries. The pricing was odd. Probably would not recommend to anyone who is used to the higher standards of most Westins or just nicer hotels in general. If you’re type b you would probably be fine.

The location is exactly what we wanted. Quiet and away from the busy area of the hotel zone. It was nice that the pool area and lounge chairs are close to the beach. Bus stop outside the hotel was convenient. The only downside is no food options outside the hotel. The food at the restaurant bar was okay. Grilled chicken and salad and pizza was yum. I wish they offered more mexican food but the breakfast buffet makes up for it. Majority of the employees were friendly and accomodating. The little convenience store was great for late night coffee, snacks, etc. We like that staying at this property did not feel like a mega resort fortress. Expect to be asked frequently to go to the "concierge" desk that's connected to their sales department.

Excellent staff!!! Facility a little dated, especially rooms and bathrooms. Rust was observed on several bathtubs as I requested a room change only to find the same problem with another room. Rooms could benefit from a renovation upgrade. Again staff were outstanding!!!!!!!!

Bed was insanely comfy! Property is great, but not much to do around the area. Using the bus system made for affordable trips to areas with more restaurants and shopping. The staff is polite and thorough. I can do without the sales pressure, but am able to tune it out.
