First and foremost I must say Ankita was a very good host. She contacted us ever day to see if we wanted cleaning, water or bed changing and when we had issues, which there were a few, she was mostly quick to try and resolve them. The apartment is very well located and the Main Street in Candolim with the bars & restaurants is two mins away and the beach is perhaps only a further five min walk. The furniture is quite modern although we found the beds hard but I think that is a common feature in India. There were problems with the internet and the electricity did go off a lot although there was a small generator that kept some of the essential things going and Ankita did chase the electric company. The details on VRBO did stated breakfast was included which it isn’t and to be fair I did clarify that before we travelled. The details also state there are three verandas. There are but none of them are useable to sit out on. If you plan to cook be aware that there is only a two ring calor gas hob and a toaster so there’s no oven or microwave. Also we were given a kettle which was clearly not working properly as the handle was red hot and it eventually packed up completely. we were given a second one which popped after about a week. I think there may have an electrical fault somewhere. We were promised a further one which never materialised and I suspect the host thought we were somehow responsible which I can assure you we weren’t.
