We stayed one night as a couple. We had just finished a group tour and the hotel we were in was old and tired, so we decided to move. The Parkhouse was a great discovery! We needed something in Gardens we could wheel our luggage to, but the Parkhouse ended up being more than just a convenience. It is tucked around on a very quite side street. The concierge Storm was very welcoming and helpful. She was able to recommend places to eat, found us a driver for a day tour, and assisted when I encountered mobile internet issues
The rooms have been decorated with care - they are very clean and modern and reflect the online photos. Fortunately they have modified the minimalism esthetic by adding frosted glass to the shower, which is sits within the bedroom area. The bed was very comfortable; the blackout shade assured we were able to sleep soundly. We even had our own wooden walk-out patio, which gave great views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill.
There is a courtesy table in the hallway with coffee, rusks and infused water, as well as an iPad for guest internet use.
The neighborhood is great for dining and shopping, and is a fairly short walk to main tourist sites like the Company Gardens; we felt generally safe walking home from dinner.
My only comment would be that there is no lift, and even the lower rooms are reached by a few steps, so a little caution for those with mobility issues.
Great value - Highly recommended!
