Private Cabin and Hot Tub in the Woods

Cozy Colorado mountain cabin with hot tub less than 10 minutes from Carbondale. Nestled on 1.5 acres in the piñon pines feeling the seclusion of this entire property getting a mountain cabin experience with a private hot tub. 1940's cabin with a full interior renovation in 2016 keeping the nostalgic look of the cabin on the exterior. It features a fully equipped kitchen, tv, wifi, a/c and a fireplace. Pets allowed upon approval with a pet fee. No aggressive dogs allowed on the property.

This is a 500 square foot cabin that sits on 1.5 acres. The cabin features an open floor plan with a fully equip kitchen. There is a separation curtain from the king bedroom area to the rest of the cabin.

You will need your own form of transportation as there is no public options to get you to the cabin. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. In the winter it is highly recommended you have 4WD. There is a 300’ section of dirt road that is plowed but snowpack in the winter. With good snow tires an AWD or front wheel drive will work.

Nestled in the piñon pines giving you the secluded beauty of the Colorado mountains yet less than 10 minutes from town. There are hiking trails less than a mile from your front door. Two ditches running through the property May-Oct. You will see wildlife and plenty of stars.

You will need a car to get to the property because there is no public transportation. Once you are on Hwy 82 you may opt to use the RFTA bus system that takes you up and down the valley. In the winter you will need an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway. We also recommend you have snow tires for the 300' section of snowpack roads. If you do not have the proper vehicle there is a chance that you would not make it all the way to the cabin and have to walk the short distance up the driveway.

We have a ranch dog, Clyde, you will most likely be greeted by while you stay. He is a young large Great Pyrenees. If you would not like his visits during your stay please let us known we will keep him away.
Keep in mind the easiest way to communicate with us is via Airbnb messaging system; please use this message system, and we will respond promptly. We are often in low cellphone coverage areas, and phone calls and texts will not reach us quickly. Our goal is to keep our cabin well maintained and secure for all of our Guests. We want you to enjoy your visit; hopefully, these house rules will help you enjoy and understand our property. As a guest, I agree to the following terms and conditions:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The premises are to be used only as a private vacation residence for registered Guest (s). The Guest (s) will provide the Owner with a complete list of all occupants of the premises. The Tenant will not allow occupancy in the condo more than that agreed upon in reservation. No Parties or group gatherings, other than registered Guest (s), shall occur. The maximum number of Guest (s) five (5) persons. 2. The person booking the reservation must be over the age of 18 and be an occupant of the unit during the entire reserved period. 3. Smoking: 100% Smoke-Free home. Guest (s) or Guest (s) of Guests cannot smoke anywhere on the property ground inside our condo or outside. We do not rent to smokers. Please do not rent if you are a smoker, even if you plan on smoking off the property. Any sign of smoking will result in a $500 extra cleaning fee will be charged. 4. Storage of Food Items: Guests to maintain a clean environment outside the cabin by not leaving food items out. Food items should be kept inside to prevent attraction of bears. Please keep doors locked at night to prevent any possibility of a bear intruding into the cabin.

5. Check-­In/Check-­Out: Check-in instructions will be provided to you via Airbnb messages before your arrival. Please bring printed check-in instructions with you the check-in information with you. Check-in is at 4 PM MST. Check-out time is 10 AM. MST. If you check out later than 10 AM, you will be charged twice the nightly rate for each additional night. Check-out upon departure, put all garbage in plastic garbage bags then in the cans outside, wash any dishes you used. Please leave the bedding on the bed. 6. Early check-­in and late check­-out requests are available for and an additional fee may be added based upon availability. These requests must be made 24 hours in advance. Please message in writing. 7. If the cabin is left excessively dirty, we will charge an added check-out cleaning fee.

8. Please use beach towels for the hot tub and the bath towels to remain inside the unit. 9. Any issues with the cabin need to be brought to our attention right away during your stay so that we can make it right. We will only be able to address any issues with registered guests of the unit.

10. Lost and Found Items: We are not responsible for lost items or damaged items. In addition to shipping and handling charges to return items left behind, we charge a $25 fee to look for and retrieve lost items.

11. Cancellations: Our cancellation policy follows Airbnb's "strict cancellation policy" please refer to Airbnb site in addition to this policy; we do not provide refunds for unforeseen developments of weather including rain or snow storms. We strongly suggest that you purchase private travel insurance.12. No Daily Maid Service: We provide bed linens and towels. There is no daily housekeeping. For reservations 14 days or greater a mid-­stay clean is required for $125. A starter supply of bath soap, toilet tissue, and garbage liners will be provided; however, the Guest will need to purchase further supplies as they will not be replenished during your stay.

13. Guests Liability: Guests agree to accept liability for any damages caused to the property by guests or Guest's guests, including but not limited to landscaping, misuse of appliances, and equipment furnished. If damages are more than the damage waiver, the Guest agrees to reimburse owners for costs incurred to repair/replace damaged items. The rental is equipped for housekeeping with dishes, cookware, silverware, and glasses. Please do not remove any furnishings, equipment, or items from the unit, including any linen, dishes or other items from the unit.

14. Guest understand that the loft is not safe for sleeping and is not allowed to be used by guests. It is only for storage for supplies and for owner or manager to access.

15. We do not allow open flames inside or out! We are in high wildfire risk area in the summers.

16.Guest understands that there is no guaranty that properties adjacent to the cabin will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic, or other guests or neighbors, and any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. There are very few neighbors and none very close so this would be a very strange occurrence.

17. Illegal and or Disruptive Activity: We reserve the right to remove any individual from the premises for any illegal or disruptive behavior on the premises. We reserve sole discretion in determining if a guest should be removed from the premises for illegal and or disruptive behavior. No arrest or conviction is necessary for us to remove an individual from the property. If an individual is removed from the property for such activity, no refund will be issued for money paid. Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We ask that everyone respect each other's privacy and quiet enjoyment by keeping music, televisions, etc. at a moderate level at all times. 15. Guest understands that there is no guaranty that properties adjacent to the cabin will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic, or other guests or neighbors, and any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

18. Hold Harmless: Owners do not assume any liability for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity, or plumbing. We will use its best efforts to ensure that all equipment within the unit is in good working order, although neither Manager nor Owner guarantees that any equipment will not break down during your stay. In the event of a breakdown, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to remedy the situation as soon as possible after notification of the breakdown. Additionally, such a breakdown does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustments for any such mechanical failure. Nor will we accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond its control.

19. Internet: We do not guarantee internet and cable connectivity. If there happens to be an issue with the service it will be due to the provider and a tower being down and they promptly repair. The guest may contact the manager or owner to notify them of any issues. Guest understands that no refunds will be given for Internet connectivity issues or lack of service.

20. Walkways: The Guest is fully aware that the walkways can be dangerous, that they can be slippery when wet, and that injury is likely to occur to anyone not using caution. Guests should observe and adhere to all rules and policies as posted at the property. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned accepts and assumes all risks involved in or related to the use of walkways and stairs into the cabin.

21. Additional Terms and Conditions: The Guest, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges actual Owners from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action by reason of

Second year didn’t disappoint
This is the second year we’ve stayed at the cabin and once again we had a wonderful time. We visited during the JAS Music Festival and this was close enough to access the event, but secluded enough to still be at a “cabin in the woods”. The owners are attentive and responsive to needs that may arise, but otherwise respect the desire for seclusion. The cabin is beautiful and the stars at night pop from a nighttime hot tub soak.

Everything was easy from directions to departure. Not only is the cabin in a beautiful spot, it comes complete with loving n fun animals. We got to meet adorable Great Pyrenees Clyde as well as chickens that gave us fresh eggs. Comfortable, quiet, perfectly appointed and decorated. I love the seclusion. It wasn't too far from anything but far enough from everything. A very cozy and welcoming cabin, easy communication with the owners, and clear directions for my stay. Would absolutely recommend for a quiet place away, but close enough to the mountain towns for activities.

Great secluded cozy cabin
This cabin was everything we were looking for and more. It was conveniently located, yet secluded and private. The beautifully renovated 1940 cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The private hot tub, frequent visits from the owner's dog Clyde and the fresh eggs from the chickens added to the unique ambience. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely Cozy Secluded Cabin
We had a great time exploring the area, looking at stars from the hot tub, and cooking in the kitchen! The chickens and Clyde the dog were both pleasant surprises in the morning; our dog especially loved Clyde! Plenty to do in the roaring fork valley, we will be back!

Amazing place just in the right spot. Great home base to do Colorado. We can’t imagine not going back. Great host and cabin. Our dog Merle was in Heaven and Clyde was the perfect dog host. Getting in and out of the elevated bed was a slight challenge but not worth complaining about. Loved every minute we were there. Again, we can’t imagine not going back. BB

We had a great time and really enjoyed the Cabin in the Woods. I can’t believe how they maintained the exterior rustic nature of the cabin yet updated the interior into such a comfortable, modern and efficient space. It is wonderful and we hope to visit again.

Beautiful cabin close to town
Lovely and well appointed cabin, less than 15 min drive into Carbondale. Friendly dog on the property greeted us when we drove up which was fun (owner asked in advance if we were OK with the dog approaching us). Very comfortable space for me, my wife and our infant. Would love to stay again.

Great Vacation Spot!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderfully relaxing stay here. It is everything as advertised and very well kept. Having some fresh eggs from the chickens in the morning was always a great start to the day and we ended every night relaxing in the hot tub looking up at the stars. It's also a very easy drive to the downtown area. We would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect Getaway!
We stayed the cabin for 5 nights and wished it was longer! We enjoyed hiking Maroon Bells, strolling Vail Village and hiking locally. Each evening we looked forward to returning to the cabin for a relaxing soak in the hot tub and saying “Hi” to Clyde who would always drop by for a pet. The cabin was set up for full comfort from the cozy bed to the well stocked kitchen and fresh eggs were such a treat! We look forward to spending more time here!

The Cabin
The cabin has definitely been updated with new appliances and was very comfortable and clean. We had never tried fresh eggs before but the resident chickens provided an opportunity to try some. They were delicious and much better than store bought. The chickens were very entertaining and we loved seeing the owners dog Clyde. We also enjoyed using the very nice jacuzzi. The owner was extremely friendly, accommodating and promptly provided feedback to our questions.
