Exceptional

Very atmospheric with open log fire and old stone winding staircases. Had a “castle” feel to it. Very cosy dining room. The owner and manager Frederique could not have done enough for us. Felt like he was an old friend. Everyone in the village were just so friendly and we felt that we really got a feel for the French culture during our stay. Great hotel and would definitely go back if we were ever in that neck of the woods again
The hotel is in a historical building and is in good condition. The proprietor, Frederick, is helpful and speaks English fluently.
There is no TV in the rooms and the Internet is weak except in the lobby. An indoor parking garage is available at no extra charge. Beware that the streets are very narrow so it is very easy to get your car scratched/dented!
Close drive to Carcasonne. Great morning breakfast. We had the group room and it was good for our family for a night. Quiet town which shuts down for siesta time so be sure to time your arrival and meals.
