I loved the hotel and the staff was very friendly. Major issues was the air con did not cool at all and the lifts! The lifts are so slow and took ages in peak times

I booked a signature room to have a king size bed yet when we get there it’s just 2 single beds pushed together, the hotel is 25 yrs old I know but the mattresses and pillows don’t need to be!!!! The bed was uncomfortable and worn out, the pillows were hard and flat, the bed and pillows gave my fiancé and myself a painful back every morning and a stiff neck and that is not what you want to be feeling like on a vacation which is meant to be recharging. The room was dusty and there were stains on the carpet, marks on the long wall mirror, a mouth print on the glass and finger prints all round the spy hole on the door. The cleanliness of the bathroom was shocking, hairs on the floor and in the shower, scup round the taps and also in the shower and even the white towels had stains on them, the photos need to be updated on the website along with the rooms, when I made my booking it shows you get a sofa in the room I booked, we didn’t we got two chairs !! It also stated there would be a mini bar !! It was just a fridge, not exactly a mini bar !! Whilst we were there only 2 lifts were working and they are very slow and constantly full of people so we had to take the stairs which were shockingly unattractive and looked like a multi story car park staircase. The hotel is not exactly cheap to stay in and yet they charge £20 per night to park in the indoor car park and £10 per night outside, should be free. On a positive note all the staff very friendly and helpful.

Watch out for extra charges. £20 for parking was a lot for one night at a 5 star hotel. This is not mentioned at all when you book. Room was very clean and we were grateful for the cot that was placed in our room for our newborn. A lot of hidden costs drops my rating for this hotel.

The only thing we did not like was that the cabinet where the ref is built was dirty. It does need vacuuming , & the inside of the ref also needs cleaning; there was only one lift operating when we were there.

Gorgeous green area, nicely landscaped. Quiet location. Plenty activities. Nice room, spacious but needs a good deep clean or floor tiles need replacing especially around the base of the toilet bowl as it has a yellow stain around the perimeter (looks like ingrained stained urine). The grout on the floor tiles needs a refresh/replace.
