Had an upgraded room with a view of the castle which was nice. The building is looking a bit tired, however I believe it was fair value. It was clean and service were polite and friendly. Great location for me

We booked The Angel Hotel, due to it central location close to Cardiff Castle and Sophia Gardens where we had booked to see The Bohemians - Queens Greatest hits. First room we were given had a problem with the heating but after reporting it the deputy manager came in 10 minutes to move us to another room. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Excellent value £55 B&B. Breakfast was good and hot. Wife asked if they had vegetarian sausages and it was no problem. Nice and tasty and not too long a wait.

I just love The Angel, its old, quirky and unique. Beds and bathroom spotless Only one tiny thing, desk was dirty and bin hadnt been emptied. But didn't make a difference to my stay. Wr will be back 😊

Highly Recommend
The trip was amazing. The staff were so friendly, very conversational and interactive. They watched my bags all day while I was at a show. The hotel is definitely an older building, but it has so much character. It’s right next to so many destinations and a lot of shopping. Highly recommended.

Hotel in a good location, but unfortunately there was a xmas function on we did not sleep till gone 2.30 am ,we were given a room on 2nd floor ,also breakfast was disappointing not a bad choice but it had dried up a bit when we arrived at around 9.30 ish ,but the staff were polite and approachable
