A lovely period building with a very grand entrance and well decorated room. Considering the cost, the breakfast, while very tasty, was let down by a hurried atmosphere. The front of house staff was run off his feet, there were delays in replenishing the breakfast and the fruit selection was poor. If this was a hotel of convenience I would understand but it is a premium hotel, with a premium price so this aspect was a little disappointing in an otherwise very comfortable stay.

I arrive and was greeted immediately, no more than 5 minutes and i got my keys, the room had a view to the stadium, it was quiet, well spacious, clean and have a kettle and a range if teas and coffee. It was perfect

A great hotel, lively and sophisticated vibe. Our room was beautiful and a spiral staircase down into a stunning bathroom. All fixtures and fittings were well thought out and tasteful. A very stylish hotel, more like 5* than 4*.

What more can I say...
What more can I say! They surpassed our expectations, and we had a beautiful and warm welcome. After having shared a personal story and meeting with the General Manager Damien, our love for the Parkgate has just grown. Richard (Guest Services) has checked us in on many occasions, and he is such a lovely man, always helpful and caring. We had a lovely few hours in the bar, enjoying a few drinks, and a great selection of non alcoholic drinks, which I really appreciate. Live music was lovely, although we didn't hear much of it due to the loud wedding party, but it was fine (besides who doesn't love a wedding). I always forget to take note of the housekeeping staff, but the rooms are cleaned to a verg high standard. They do a wonderful job and really pay attention to details. Thank you all

It was completely overpriced and the check out time is at 11:00am. Since most people are there because of the Half Marathon, nobody can reach that check out time, and as they did not allow late check out, I was forced to buy another night stay, even though i just used it for 1,5hs.
