Very comfortable and quaint hotel.

We loved the decor. We spent a lot of time looking at the pictures and the second floor activity room. Unfortunately, some of the castle was closed because it's winter and there was a lot of ice. The room was clean. It had a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room was extremely warm and I didn't know how to put the air-conditioner on, so we had trouble sleeping. They had a restaurant and bar, but it was closed. We ended up walking to a local bar, Shorty's Southside, where we had dinner and a couple drinks.

When I made my reservation I noted in the special assistance section that I preferred a ground floor room due to hip and knee replacement. Upon arrival, found out no ground floor so front desk lady said she could move me to 1st floor. I was happy and appreciative. I had prepaid via Expedia. Female said room found and then told additional $15. I declined the move as thought a ‘switch and bait’ tactic. Also would prefer a coffee machine in the room. Not a deal breaker. Everything else was fine.

This house had everything we were looking for. We just had to bring towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. Can't wait to return!

Lovely weekend - House was very nice. Clean and well furnished/amenities. Fire pit in back was nice - firewood is available for a cost - but we found some in the woods. Directions were tough as the map on VRBO is not accurate. Host did reach out about it - but we all drove past it the first time! Appeared to be up near Jockeybush trailhead but was quite a bit south. Overall a lovely place and we had a great weekend.

Nice cabin, will stay again
