Country residential accommodation set in a peaceful bush cottage garden co-located with the main residence and only a short 12-18 minute drive to Queanbeyan City & Canberra Airport. Elouera Garden Cottage is also only 25 minutes drive from Canberra's CBD and most of Canberra's regional attractions. Wineries, restaurants, galleries, Sparrow Hill mountain bike trails, Tallaganda National Park and the local village of Bungendore with its famous Woodworks Gallery are within easy reach.
For Australian Defence Force staff and visitors, the Australian Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) is located only a few km's away, and approximately a 20 minute drive via road to the main entrance or 5 minute drive to the rear HQJOC access road.
Walking distance to Tibetan Buddhist Virupa Retreat Centre.

Timber framed windows welcome natural light while drawing the eye to the bush framed cottage garden and your own BBQ patio area. Fresh filtered water is sourced from clean rainwater tanks while your energy needs are met by an onsite grid connected solar power/battery system, ensuring your stay is carbon wise. Inside; your accommodation is fully furnished in natural materials, such as pure wool carpet, natural paint finishes, leather furniture and quality linen.

Sustainable living at Elouera started at the design phase, with the careful selection of natural building materials during construction and renovations, to the regular use of natural and safe cleaning products for maintenance and care. At Elouera, we pride ourselves on avoiding the use of harmful synthetic chemicals, using resources wisely and minimising waste.

The grounds at Elouera are tended by traditional and contemporary organic gardening practices to enhance bio-diversity, human friendly spaces and natural micro-climates.

PARKING & EV charging
There is ample parking at the property, however the carport allocated to the cottage is only suitable for modest sized vehicles. Contemporary SUVs, utes and trucks will need to park outside, in front of the cottage. At this stage we cannot provide or allow onsite EV charging.

COVID-19 cancellations are subject to a $80 cancellation fee. Any service fee(s) paid to Vrbo/HomeAway/Stayz may not be refundable.

Perfect Getaway
Absolutely beautiful place to enjoy going away for the weekend. The cottage was super cozy and romantic. Everything was very clean and the supplied breakfast options were a great touch. We enjoyed just sitting out on the chairs overlooking the garden enjoying our breakfast. Great place to unwind and do nothing.

Great stay in a beautiful cottage. Very clean and the garden was amazing. Hosts very friendly on arrival but then left us for our stay. No issues but were available if we had concerns. Breakfast provided was lovely and amenities were great. Beds very comfortable. Thank you Don and Sharon for a very relaxing few days. Would definitely stay at Elouera Cottage again

Romantic Getaway
We went here to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and could not have picked a more perfect venue. It is the most perfect place for a relaxing, romantic stay. You can't find fault with anything. You can just sit back and enjoy the peace, privacy and romance of the place. The owners are friendly but just leave you alone to soak up the romance of the place that they have worked so hard to create.

We absolutely loved this cottage on a beautiful well kept property with stunning gardens and birdlife. All the extra finishing touches make this place very special. Very close to Canberra but remote enough to feel like we were away from it all. Would definitely recommend this accomodation.

Great place to unwind
We've both have had a stressful year and decided we wanted to get away and just relax and unwind. We booked in for 3 nights and our stay was great. Super quiet area. The living area in the cottage is surrounded by tall windows which allow you to watch the little birds playing in the trees, the kangaroo's and joey's enjoying the evening. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We stayed during the spring, so the trees and flowers were in full bloom. Bed was comfy... and the shower had amazing water pressure! Lovely place to relax!
