The staff was warm, helpful and friendly and made my father and me incredibly welcomed and comfortable. The two rooms we rented were gorgeous and the pool was clean and felt private. Couldn’t imagine a more pleasant time in Merida.
Liked the staff and the breakfast options that were available. The hotel only had 3 floors but the steps were a little challenging due to curvature and incline of steps. There were also a number of mosquitoes in the room.
We stayed at the Hotel Hacienda and the Hotel Hacienda VIP, which are next door to each other - and both are amazing. Beautiful rooms, private balconies and pools, and wonderful and kind staff. Really wonderful hotel that I highly recommend.
Beautiful place with lots of character! Super charming

Good hotel but noisy construction and mosquitoes
The hotel was beautiful and the service was good. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes inside of one the rooms and there was an ongoing construction in the adjacent building starting in the morning even during the weekend. The hotel has potential but not the best experience this time.

I don’t know who made the mistake Expedia or the hotel. The hotel room where oversold. Therefore I cannot give any feedback about the hotel. Since they sent me to another hotel around the corner. I feel I overpaid for the Hotel they put me in. In the bright side, I had to say that it was nice and give me a glass of wine when I arrive to the Hotel Avenida VIP. I guess with a glass of wine I was nervous and happy at the moment. Please do not over sell the rooms. Also, for people who want to stay at the hotel, please call ahead and make sure they have your room available.
A renovated townhouse within the historic center of Morelia only six rooms hotel was absolutely wonderful we had the suite overlooking the pool and garden with a balcony with comfortable chairs
It was great to relax and enjoy. Very attentive staff
good restaurants within walking distance also to shopping it is a great choice to enjoy and discover
Merida.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean and spacious. We stayed in room one, it is right off reception so If you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this room as it can be quite noisy.

Overall I liked the place and the location because we were looking for a rustic place to stay. As a whole the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the room we booked had a shower drain that constantly backed up and a leaky skylight in the closet. I reported the incident on the first day to the day manager and she sent someone up to unclog the drain but it only lasted for a day.
Because there were heavy rains during the first few days our stay the leak in the skylight wasn't too bad initially. We were able to use some towels from the room to soak up the water because the manager said she would have it cleaned after the rain stopped. The next leaking roof incident and drain issue was reported to the night manager. He literally wanted to give me a plunger to unclog the drain, and when I explained to him that the water leaking from the room was now pouring through in several places and could I get some towels to soak up the water until it could be cleaned up he said he only had clean towels and could not let me use them.
While the matter was eventually resolved I found his demeanor and attitude less than appropriate. I should not need to tell the manager that I'm not an employee and he needs to send someone to take care of the problem. The room was expensive and to expect a guest to do the work was totally unacceptable at any price point. My girlfriend and I now affectionately refer to the Hotel as Hotel Hacienda DYI :-).
This is a beautiful hotel in a good location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool is wonderful. Our room was very nice and large with a good view. My biggest complaint is that room #6 did not have internet access. I ended up using all of my cell phone data because of this and had to buy more. Also the remote control would not operate the TV, only the satellite box. I asked for it to be foxed, but it wasn’t.
It is a beautiful restored colonial style building with many gorgeous touches. The room was spacious with a comfy bed. A lovely garden & a pool where delicious breakfast are served. Drinks are served at the bar of the adjacent Hacienda Hotel.
The staff are welcoming, friendly & super helpful. The location of this hotel is great…walking distance to many historic buildings, squares, restaurants, cafes & shops.
Highly recommend staying at this lovely oasis!
