Tower Genova is within walking distance from Genoa Airport, which is the only reason to stay at this hotel. We booked this hotel as we were arriving late from an international flight and wanted to rest before heading out to Cinque Terre. The area is industrial, with no other dining options other than the hotel restaurant. The one waiter was working very hard , however, the kitchen forgot our order and it took 1.5 hours to serve us with one pizza and the sea bass (do not order, it was underwhelming, and the entire dish would fit in an IKEA glass up). Kudos to the hard working waiter.
The room had not been updated for at least 30 years with curtains glued to the walls, peeling melamine on the countertops, sticky floors in all the spaces, mattresses that felt like they belong at an outdoor camp , hand towels that are thin and hard, as well as small insects crawling on the bathroom counters. I would not recommend this hotel; take the bus shuttle & train into town and skip the Tower Hotel.
