We booked for two nights, but changed hotels after one night because of noise from the street. The shops close on the street at 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. so that was fine, but the problem was people coming from the old Port (where the bars and restaurants stay open very late) were walking up the street talking very loudly. This happened until the wee hours of the morning. Since I had asked for a quiet room, but this was all they had available, we moved to a new hotel at the very end of the Port, with soundproof rooms and doors, the Porto Veneziano Hotel, which was very nice. The room itself was odd, with furniture a little too big for the space. The toilet made a loud, prolonged noise when you flushed it.
