Unit B - Old Village Historic Southern Charm

This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom duplex was built in 1940 on a street that dates back to 1766. The property has two queen beds, two futons and a pull-out couch. There is a private spacious patio under a shaded oak tree where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Located in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant this newly renovated unit is full of charm! Two blocks away is the Cooper River where you can catch the sunrise over the Bridge. This unit is within walking distance to restaurants and shops in the Old Village and less than a mile from Shem Creek. This historic townhome is centrally located and is four miles to Sullivan’s Island beach and six miles to downtown Charleston.

These units are small cottages, so not equipped for 6 adults but you could fit 4 adults and 2 kids.

Good location, good parking, clean. The only issue was the Villa had an old basement smell. It has a moisture issue. They have to run a dehumidifier all hours.

Great little spot in Old Village
Perfect little spot in Old Village for two adults and two kids. We loved being able to walk to places like the playground, shops on Pitt St, the pier, Shem Creek. Centrally located and easy drives to Sullivan's Island beaches, downtown CHS, and Daniel Island. The house was clean and well supplied, and the outdoor area was perfect to hang out or hose off beach gear. We'd stay here again.

Great spot in a perfect location
A very cute and well appointed unit in a duplex with private entrance and patio space. The house was as cute as could be with plenty of space for my family of three. Close to coffee shops and restaurants, a quick walk to Shem Creek and minutes to downtown. The only downside was a noisy air conditioning unit, but the beds were comfortable and the space was impeccably clean.

Don’t waste your money!
We actually checked out early because the place smelled. The first night we removed the throw rugs because they smelled awful and the kitchen one was also stained. When we removed them they were covered in sand therefore sand was everywhere. Second night we kept smelling something. We finally figured out it was the kitchen countertops. The seal either has worn away or they weren’t sealed. Bacteria has saturated the tops and the smell is horrible! Can’t believe no one has noticed! We bought an air purifier for the smell hoping we could stay until our event in Charleston. Other complaints…. the photos showed a bright sunny living room and bath, they are dark as a dungeon. I have photos with all shutters open during the day and it’s still very dark! We had silver fish crawling on the walls in kitchen, bath and bedroom. Spider in the shower and spider in the kitchen. Needless to say it was a VERY unpleasant stay!!! Do not waste your money and ruin your vacation! I let the owner know and gave him 4 days to respond and he still has NOT!! He got his money and that’s all he cared about!

Very clean and cute! Worked perfectly for me and my 87 year old mother. Had all the amenities that we needed. Loved the outdoor patio. Nice and close to restaurants and things to do. I would stay there again!

Trip to see Credit One Tennis Tournament
This was an attractive and convenient place to be for getting to the tennis matches on Daniel Island. On the map it looked to be closer/more easily walkable to the 'business district' of the Old Village, but that wasn't much of an inconvenience. Aside from tennis, my friend and I enjoyed being close to so many options for dining and shopping. I readily recommend staying here.

Cottage Stay in Mt Pleasant
Three of us travelled to Charleston area for a long weekend to attend a family member’s milestone birthday party. The cottage was perfect for our stay. Cozy, clean & well decorated. The outdoor space was lovely. It’s a quiet neighborhood—walkable to several restaurants & coffee shops. Cottage is small. Perfect for us three adults (me, my husband and 23 year old son) but not ideal for larger groups. Would definitely stay there again.

Very cozy place
Close to beaches and good restaurants. Short drive to heart of Charleston. Tip: if you are going to Fort Sumter, you can catch a boat from Patrick’s Point near house and save a trip into Charleston. House is clean and quiet, with everything you need. To owner: it looks like wifi on living room TV died. Wasn’t working, but bedroom TV wifi worked fine.

Wonderful!
We loved staying here for our elopement wedding weekend! The home was quiet, cozy, beautifully designed, and decorated with great taste. We never heard the guests in the next door unit. Old Village is such a great little area - beautiful homes, Pitt Street Bridge, Vintage Coffee (definitely get coffee/food here). Easy access to downtown Charleston, beaches, great restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

Great spot for small family or 2 couples
Mt. Pleasant was a great spot for us to stay with easy, close access to Charleston and the beaches on Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms. I felt very safe running in the area by myself in the mornings and the area is just beautiful. There is a coffee shop just a few blocks up on the corner (The Brown Fox) and there is a great farmer’s market on Tuesday afternoon on that same corner. It’s a very easy, short walk. The property itself was great. It was very clean when we arrived. This is part of duplex. We did not notice any street noise and had very little noise from the family in the other half of the building. The only thing that would have been nicer would be a bigger kitchen area. This unit has a very small apartment size stove and dishwasher and very little counter space in the kitchen. Not really an issue if you plan to take advantage of all the great food options in Charleston. This is a great rental for a small group. Realistically, the max that would be comfortable is 4 people. The back porch/yard area was very nice with comfortable seating. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location, very clean and attractively decorated. Two comfortable beds and nice linens. Fenced patio great for meals and relaxing. Kitchen small and efficient but not conducive to cooking meals on a regular basis.
