I am not getting the great reviews. The hotel, although newer, is just basic. I have stayed at other Hilton properties that are much better, though older. The attraction, I suppose, is the proximity to shopping and eating places.
The person that checked me in looked like she hated her job, her life, and me for bothering her talking to another employee. I am sorry I ruined your day, I hope life looks up for you in the future. The other employee didn't even acknowledge me and walked away when I said hello. Customer service is dead.
I stayed in Room 309. In the bathroom, it appears there are mold spores growing on the ceiling above the shower. Perhaps there is/was a leak in the upstairs bathroom. Also, there was tissue and an earring behind the toilet. I understand people get busy, but if they missed this what else did they miss cleaning.
The room is just basic. It served it's purpose I guess for one night. I have stayed at many Hilton hotels and will likely do so again, but not Tru.
All in all a very mediocre stay at a very mediocre property.
