Charlottesville is really taking a turn in the wrong direction with a staggering increase in its homeless population. Many street corners seem to be riddled with not only vagrants, but people with drug afflictions and mental health issues ( schizophrenia, uncontrolled verbal and physical outbursts, etc.). Doesn’t feel safe walking through the downtown areas. (Likely exacerbated by the political atmosphere in the region). We did not feel this at the Country Inn, but we were a little concerned with the accessibility of our vehicles to the outside issues. Other than that, the hotel staff and accommodations were better than expected and we would recommend staying here. Staff was friendly, room and common areas were very clean. Didn’t need anything as the room was adequately supplied with proper back up items, etc. People hanging out, families playing games, and having a good time on a rainy night in the main room. Very cozy and comfortable feeling. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location in terms of convenience, but because of that is a busy, noisy spot. Room and common areas of the hotel were great though, clean, modern, etc. Breakfast was fresh and always stocked with coffee.

We've stayed here before and we were happy to reserve again. Nice hotel, well situated near places we like to go: very convenient. It was a comfortable stay. Quiet. If I had anything at all negative it would be that the mattress was a bit firm but that's an individual preference probably more due to my back trouble. We don't use the pool, but it looked nice. Breakfast was fine, typical hotel fare with waffles, eggs, cereals, etc. We'll definitely stay here again.

We were warmly greeted at the desk. Our room was clean and comfortable as was the lobby, dining area and fitness center. We are located a few minutes outside the university campus with a stop light to go left or right on Rte 29

The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the staff were for the most part helpful and friendly. Downside is the building is right next to a busy major intersection and the accoustic isolation is minimal. We were awakened repeatedly through the night by trucks using the engines to break for the light and then reving engines to start up again. We asked to be moved to a quieter side of the hotel, but the desk attendant would not grant our request. We'll not stay in this hotel a second time...

This hotel was just fine, but what stood out to us was the service. The people could not have been nicer. We had an AC problem in the middle of the night and the night manager quickly found us another room. We were able to just leave our belongings and went to the new room to get some sleep.

great place and we even had a cookie at the front desk One of the best Country Inns that we have stayed in. Only complaint is there is no clock in the room.
