I had high hopes for Jackson Gore Village, but this place didn't deliver at all. First, I paid extra for a "mountain view" room but was placed in a second floor room on the non-slope side of the mountain. The room itself was dingey, some of our toiletries were empty, and the furniture was scuffed. The TV was also tiny.
My partner and I tried to get a drink at the bar but unfortunately weren't greeted by the bartender even after waiting at least 10 minutes. The restaurant was also empty even though it was supposed to be open, didn't get an explanation for that since the bartender wouldn't greet us.
The final straw was an outdoor hot tub. One of the two was marked out of service, and the one remaining should have been closed. First, we had to clean it ourselves (with a broken pool cleaner) before getting in and then when I turned the jets on I discovered that the water was so low that water was just blasting across the surface and out of the tub.
I had planned on taking more pictures, but my partner and I decided to drive the hour back home instead and cut our losses rather than staying an uncomfortable night. We will not be returning.
