We arrived late for checkin, but, were sure to notify the staff in advance. The receptionist did know who I was when we arrived and promptly got our paperwork and checked us in. She was kind to help carry our bags upstairs. She dropped the bags in our room and quickly began to leave. Unfortunately, she did not offer any information about breakfast, pool hours, Wi-Fi password, etc. I did ask for breakfast time and pool hours as she was trying to leave, so I received that information. About 20 minutes after we arrived, a family arrived to checkin and it literally sounded like they were running and jumping in our room. It was so loud, we were unable to sleep. We were woken up by this same family screaming and jumping in the pool. I was surprised that staff did not ask them to quiet down either time. When we came down for breakfast, we were promptly informed that our room did not include breakfast. No one said hello, no one said good morning. We were not offered the option to purchase breakfast, and we’re not given recommendations or information on surrounding area options. They said nothing else to us. So, we sat and researched places to eat nearby. This made us feel very unwelcome. Once our driver arrived for our pickup, we dropped the key. No one said goodbye/thank you for staying either. It was a beautiful hotel, with a very transactional staff. It’s unfortunate, because it has such potential. They seemed to care more about cleaning the hotel than taking care of the guests.
