The rooms need to be refurbished, they are very aged. The location of the property is great, and the water pressure in the shower is fantastic!

My partner and I had a great stay at Hotel Gurnee. We stayed at the property for one night while on a roadtrip. The hotel itself is modern with a stunning lobby and a large, well-lit parking lot. The staff at the property were very kind. When checking in, we asked the woman assisting us for the best places to get deep dish pizza in the area and her recommendations were spot on. The room we were provided was clean and spacious. I would recommend staying at Hotel Gurnee for a comfortable stay if you're in the area!

It's ok, but...

Hotel is ok. It's transitioning from Holiday Inn to Wyndham, so it's not going to be a fantastic place to stay until that process is complete. Breakfast is the only meal offered, it's not good. Rooms are ok, but the light switches in the bathroom are in a really strange place. Staff are friendly enough.

Very easy to get to, right off the highway. Great to have the option for late checkout added on before arrival so we could plan it into our day. A couple of things to note: Checkout was a long wait due to the line and only one person working in the lobby at the time. Room was incredibly noisy. Couldn’t sleep before 2am because there was just too much noise—kids running and talking loudly in the hall outside of our room, loud noises (heard loud banging sounds multiple times and the sound of doors closing was louder than the tv) from the rooms around us and the level above. Possibly due to our location on the second floor? Some noise was expected on a Friday night, but this was truly excessive and even frustrating at times. I would request a room on a more upper level in the future as I would likely give this hotel another chance.

Nice hotel!

Really nice hotel, easy to get to food and shopping, and had a nice big pool. Family friendly, clean. Only downside was that there was no refrigerator in our room. So we got ice to keep water cool overnight. No big deal

NO WATER

At 10pm, I decided to take a shower, and there was NO WATER coming out of the faucet in the tub. I tried calling the desk, and NO ANSWER...had to go down and then be moved to another room at 10pm.

Overall this hotel was great. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. Two minor drawbacks were: (1) our air conditioner made an irritating whining noise on and off throughout the night. We did not alert the staff about it, so we never gave them an opportunity to fix it while we were there. It was late and we didn't want them coming in to look at it and we didn't want to change rooms. (2) The continental breakfast was very lackluster. I'd stay there again.

This hotel is very close to lots of shopping and dining options. Very close to the highway making it convienient for travel. Rooms are okay, shows lots of wear. Was more well upkept when we stayed 2 years ago.

I like the fact they had a washer and dryer, but they didn’t have a coin machine. when I first arrived, they said they had breakfast from 6 to 9 and all they had was muffins, cereal, and fruits.

The door to our room didn't even shut all the way or lock. We had to put a chair against the door handle to lock the doorThe interior locks screws werwnt even mounted. The breakfast they served was old expired curdled milk. When alerting the staff of this they wouldnt even look to help.
