Excellent stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of historic character and modern comfort. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. What really stood out was the staff — warm, professional, and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. The location is also ideal, close to everything yet calm and relaxing after a long day.

our stay was far from the amazing experience you expected. Despite requesting accommodations, you were placed next to the elevators loud noises every night with no alternatives offered. Housekeeping never visited your room, forcing you to manage your own trash and request towels repeatedly. The door malfunctioned, requiring you to ask for assistance to enter each time, which was highly inconvenient. The staff’s attitude was consistently rude, from the valet to the door attendants, with no friendly greetings or basic courtesy. This was our first visit to Chicago, and despite the hotel not being busy, the service was unacceptable. Additionally, the river view you booked through Expedia was not honored; instead, you were offered a back-and-forth negotiation and asked to pay an extra $360, which I you refused. Overall, the front desk was unwelcoming and lacked any warmth or personality, making this your worst hotel experience. You would not recommend this stay to others.
