The Ohio House motel is such a great deal for the area. The staff was fantastic, and I love the deli for on-site food options. Just know that it’s noisy, both inside (hard floors in the hallways) and outside (one of the most trafficky areas in Chicago for both vehicles and drunk pedestrians).

Location, cleanliness and attitude of the front desk clerk were all great. But, we were not given a key card to access our rooms, as their “system was down.” Kind of a critical feature. Therefore, to get in and out, we would have to notify the front desk clerk to let us in. No extra accommodations were made to make up for this.

It is a little loud since you’re right in the middle of the city but it’s an amazing location and super efficient staff!

I liked how close and in walking distance we were to a lot of places. The room was a bit small, but thought it was perfect for my husband and myself for our 4 day trip. We will be back!

Overall I would say it was a good stay. What I didn't like was that there's no thermostat in your room, it is controlled by the main office and it was very hot so I had to have them turn the temperature down. Also I was charged a cleaning fee upfront which I've never seen before, usually that's charged afterwards if you leave your room in a disaster or ruin property. They said I would get a refund a couple days later which is inconvenient. I was also charged for parking which I've never seen before either, must be a Chicago thing. But the staff was very friendly and overall it was a good stay

Upon checking in I was surprised that parking was $40. I wish I knew this when I booked. I would have stayed elsewhere. My room stunk like cigarettes. I was able to switch rooms but the next was didn’t feel that great. The bed sheets and pillow cases were clean but very rough and itchy.

It was my first staying here over the Halloween weekend and I loved it! Super clean, location is right in the heart of downtown so you’re able to walk everywhere. I will stay here everytime I come to Chicago.
