The hotel was exactly what we needed in the heart of the city with access to everything. Staff was great and friendly. We had a standard double bed room and it was good if not a little small. I would have liked a refrigerator as that was not standard and we couldn't keep any of our delicious leftovers from local restaurants.

Great location, but noisy
Best location in the city! Safe and walkable area near restaurants, bars, and attractions. Great service too! The building is historic and beautiful, but unfortunately there is not much soundproofing. Too noisy for us light sleepers! And the lack of adequate towels and toiletries for a 5-night stay was disappointing. We had to make several calls and still did not get sufficient supplies delivered.

It's an older property we have booked in the past but not under its "new" ownership. It was fine. The area is downtown and one will hear traffic including emergency vehicles just about anywhere.

Great affordable Mag Mile Chicago location
Great affordable after Christmas stay right off of Michigan avenue. Big, clean, comfortable room with king bed. 2 minute walk to the Hancock building, 4 minutes to Gibson’s, 4 minutes to the water tower. Only down part was they didn’t clean our room or change our bath towels and we had to ask at the desk for clean ones.

This property looks like it was something grabs in the past but it’s missing life today. We rented two rooms and neither had heat (the rooms stayed at 68 degrees no matter how we adjusted the thermostats). Our room phone was inoperable and when we used our personal cell phone to call the front desk asking for an extra pillow (it was after midnight), we received the pillow, but the staff member proceeded to try to fix the phone when we clearly wanted to go to bed. it seems more appropriate to do maintenance like this after guests leave and certainly not after midnight. The front desk staff was useful but not particularly friendly. The self-parking garage is right across the street which was very convenient. Easy access to Rush St and Michigan Ave. We just like this area of Chicago and compromised our hotel selection for cheaper price.
