Good Place to Stay
This is a good place to stay. I've been to several locations in the area and I've found this to be the best available. Easy check in/check out. (They even put a receipt under my door overnight which saved me time from having to request one printed upon check out). Easy right turn exiting the property towards the highway! (Might sound like a strange thing to say but it matters.) Friendly check in. Close to a good quality affordable restaurant. They actually had real food available for breakfast- you know eggs, sausage, etc. Negatives: I thought the property and the room I stayed in could use some further cleaning up (swept/vacuumed/etc.) I thought the mattress was alright but VERY firm. Maybe some people like that but I do not. I thought the shower water pressure was poor. I'd give it a C-. Overall, yes I would stay there again.

The hotel offered many touches that felt upscale, from the new decor, clean rooms, and hot breakfast items. We felt the whole experience very safe and pleasant.

The only thing that I did not like about this property was the staff. I told them I booked my room with Expedia and they tried to convince me that I needed a deposit although Expedia told me I did not then when I explained that to them, they said that I need to give them $150 cash I said no you can use the card that I have on file or I would contact Expedia and they said they would waive the fee. I find this extremely sketchy and very uncomfortable because they were trying to pressure me to give them cash.

It's A Place
It was definitely a place to stay. It won't blow you away, but it shouldn't appall you either. Management clearly is not trying to make this place special, but it looks like they're trying to make it adequate, and they are succeeding. Cleanliness was fine. We were comfortable. Bed was good, tv worked, wifi was fine, shower was a little weird but okay. Handy location. If you like bacon and eggs, the breakfast will suit you. If you don't, there are bananas. We would stay again.

Shady business!!!
Upon checkin the front desk employee asked me if I was aware of the $150 cash deposit. I said no and asked her if it was stated when I booked online. She said it doesn’t say anything about it in the online booking. I told her I don’t have $150 on me. She said I would need to make the deposit. It was a debacle. They ended up letting me forgo the $150 cash deposit. That night I asked another guest if they were asked to pay the same depot- no. I asked a second quest the next morning if they weee asked to pay the $150 deposit- no. Best western in ELYRIA is a scam and shady!!!!
