My boyfriend and I were visiting Crocker Park for a bit of birthday shopping so we weren't trying to spend a fortune on a room. We weren't expecting the Ritz here but thought some of the bad reviews for this place were blown out of proportion. FYI: they weren't!
Firstly I'd like to start off on a positive note, the staff that we interacted with were friendly enough, no problems there.
But the bad, the property is in serious need of attention. The wooden stairs were soft and gave way under your feet. There was a random wheelbarrow with empty beer bottles under the stairs, the lampshade in the room was torn and falling apart and there was a dead mosquito on the bedding and the bottoms of our feet were filthy from walking on the floor. The toilet barely flushed. The bed was ok, not the best, not the worst. The air conditioning unit did not work well or keep the room cool. I mentioned this on the way out and they did say they were in the process of changing out some units.
Again, friendly staff, but I would not recommend this place for more than a quick one night stay and even then maybe if it's your only option.
