Cozy Cabin with Mountain Views in Divide

Summary:
This serene cabin is located in the forested peaks of the Rocky Mountains near Colorado's Pikes Peak. It's the perfect retreat for a couple or small group. If you want a quiet weekend with great views, or a trip full of hiking, or ATVing this is a great location. And the deck is the perfect place to unwind and take in the view at the end of each day.

The Space:
The house is set up with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, internet, and a stocked bathroom.

There is a full bed in the upstairs loft, and a queen sized pull out couch.

The living room has a wood burning stove.

There is private parking with a large driveway (you could pull a trailer). There is no garage.

There is an outdoor deck with a propane grill.

Linens and towels are provided as well as a basic starter kit of household supplies. Feel free to ask exactly what's included in your reservation.

Heat only, no A/C.

Dogs only are allowed with $50 pet fee.

Cell service is very limited. Satellite wifi is available but connection/availability may vary based on weather, poor signal, etc. Speeds range from 1-5 Mbps. Please be prepared for possible outages.

Guests will have access to the whole house.

The Neighborhood:
This home is located in the serene, mountainous forests of the Pikes Peak region. You can access Pike National Forest right outside the back door! Please be aware of wildlife in the area, local fire restrictions and please also be aware of the altitude and the affects altitude can have. This home is around 9100 feet.

Getting Around:
You'll want a vehicle to get in and around the area. you will need 4 wheel drive and high clearance during the winter months. There is no public transportation in this area, and ride share services are limited.

Interaction with Guests:
While I won't be at the house, I'm just a call or text away. If you need help at the home, I'm not far away.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.

The cabin was awesome! Great location. Everything was perfect and very clean. My only complaint is that the bed was very small for 2 adults. Other than that it was a great stay. Would definitely recommend. .

Respite from Denver
My dog and I both needed a few days away from urban life and particularly the heat of the city. This was the perfect respite. The smell of the trees, the constant light breeze, and the mountain view were just what the doctor ordered. We saw a moose on the way in, and a bear while out on a walk (walking away from is; did not see us). Could hear wolves far off in the distance every evening, from the coziness of this very private, secluded cabin. Couldn't have asked for more.

This was our first big vacation. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The view was amazing. We ended up with altitude sickness first day so we lost a day, so we asked the owner for extra day and she made it happen. The only issue i had was not enough hot water for showers. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you.

Amazing cabin with great views and fair rates.
We had an amazing time at the cabin. It was a last minute trip and we couldn’t have asked for such an amazing place to stay. The views were great the cabin was cozy and it had everything we were looking for in a cabin for a long weekend. I can’t wait to go back for another amazing stay.

Perfect Cabin in the woods
We came to Colorado for a quick getaway and to see the Fall Foliage. Even though it we were just pack peak color time, there was still plenty of yellow. The cabin is off a windy road just north of Divide. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Divide and 45ish minutes to get to most tourist attractions. The extra drive was worth it for the view and privacy. We did it in a rental sedan just fine. Although there are houses fairly near by, you cannot see them or hear anything except nature. You have a view of Pikes peak off the back deck and views of the national forest. The house is small, but perfect for a small family or couple. It is clean and has all basic amenities. The wifi works well and we were able to log into our YouTube TV account and stream the football game. The only caution, if you have mobility issues, thr ladder to the sleeping loft is fairly steep, but the planks are wide. It was the perfect cabin for our long weekend getaway. We we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone

Amazing stay, secluded but close enough to attractions
This is a beautiful home to stay at. The check-in informations was very detailed. The property was very private and surrounded in beautiful nature, and there was a nice balance provided by the nearest grocery stores being within 20-30 minutes away. If you plan on cooking a lot like we did, I would make sure to bring everything, though, as the kitchen isn’t necessarily stocked besides salt/pepper, although there is a good amount of cook ware and a drip coffee machine with a grinder so you can fresh grind your coffee beans! This cabin is conveniently located near Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and many other attractions. Overall, an overwhelmingly positive experience. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

I went out to this property as a girls trip with my family. There were many things we were not pleased with. First, the place was not clean. The sheets were not washed and smelled like dog pee, the shower mat was wet as if someone had just showered and left it wet. Although it is pet friendly, it could have been vacuumed. There was dog hair everywhere! Which was all on our clothes. Second, it was cold. The heater did not pass 74 degrees and still felt very cold. The small heater provided did not work. Third, the internet was down the entire time. While trying to watch movies it just kept loading there was no service. Fourth, the pull out couch was so uncomfortable. It is so old you can feel all the box spring. It definitely needs to be replaced. Fifth, while showering, the water went cold I couldn’t even finish my shower. The rest of the family needed to wait until we got some hot water so they could shower and even then it went out fast so we were limited on time in the shower. We will definitely not be going back to this place and do not recommend.

Beautiful & Relaxing - Perfect for Dogs

Loved this secluded cabin!
If you are looking for a quiet and secluded cabin then this is the place for you. The deck has a beautiful view and is the star of the show here. The cabin is great overall if you are looking to escape the city life. It’s about one hour away from Colorado Springs so you can still go be a tourist if you choose to do so.

Don't use if you need to work remotely
We had to leave early, due to needing to work and three days of no internet with no sign of it being fixed. Also, no propane for grill, so don't plan on using that. Overall, nice property, great view from deck. You can tell its small with pictures, but even smaller than you would expect (especially the loft and bathroom), not a deal breaker but good to now ahead of time. Also, hit up the pub in Divide for a meal, really great food.
