This renovated 1896 cottage used to serve as the wheel repair house for the Manitou Livery. Free, private parking is on site. Easy in and out to area attractions. The Nest is located half block from Manitou Avenue, yet is surprisingly private and surrounded by nature.
A full-sized memory foam bed with an adjustable bed frame sits in the private bedroom.
The living room is perfect for lounging, and the couch becomes a full-sized bed for one additional adult guest or a child.
The kitchenette is conveniently set up to make a hot cup of coffee, for light meal preparation and for storing munchies for your stay. And help yourself to the healing, naturally carbonated, free Manitou Springs mineral water bubbling up in fountains around town during your stay.
Experience the privacy of a grotto garden, with limestone retaining wall and patio seating, both in front of the cottage and in a nature nook off of the bedroom.
Come and go as you please via the North walkway along the side of the main house or meander up the stone steps for an invigorating walk through the charming neighborhoods into the trail-filled foothills of Manitou Springs.

Transportation
The cottage is located in the heart Manitou Springs, just seconds' walk to coffee houses, restaurants, specialty shops, galleries, mineral springs and local trails, including Red Mountain, Iron Mountain, Barr, and Ute Pass Trail, Rainbow Falls, Williams Canyon and the Manitou Incline. Cycle to the Garden of the Gods or Red Rock Canyon Park and marvel at incredible red rock formations or drive up the nearby highway to the summit of America's Mountain, Pike's Peak.
Manitou Springs no longer hosts the trolley that long ago took people from Colorado Springs and neighboring Old Colorado City to and from Manitou, but one can take the same journey using the #3 bus which features stops in several locations along Manitou Avenue. A free shuttle operates on a 20-minute cycle for in town transport from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and will take one to and from Eastern Manitou Springs and the Cog Railway, the Manitou Incline and Barr Trail Head on Ruxton Avenue in Southwestern Manitou.
Walking remains the easiest and healthiest form of transport in the town, and most of what one needs is readily accessible by foot.
