We didn't need luxury accommodations. Salt Creek Inn was much less expensive than other hotels/motels nearby. We just needed a place to sleep, shower and surf the internet. However, we had neither hot water, nor internet service. We were able to sleep, however.

A place to sleep
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the key in the lock did not work properly, there was no hot water at night but there was in the morning. There were few electric outlets, no kleenex, and no ice.

The old school vibe is great, the location is great, the sheets and towels were clean. Old and musty smell permeates the rooms however. Needs some sprucing up. But pets are welcome, and that sold us.

I like that there was a McDonald's right across the street from the hotel and there was nice and quiet you didn't hear other people from other rooms being noisy but also I did not like the fact that the first room we got put in had bed bugs and when I went to the front desk and told the guy he switched his room and act like it wasn't a big problem that they had bed bugs in that room

One night business stay. Front desk was very nice and very friendly. Smooth. Was greeted in my room with my name and loyalty was recognized electronically. Comfy bed and all appointments were in order. Definitely stay here again.

The location was great and the room was clean! Everything else was substandard. It felt like going back to the fifties! no chairs to set in, walls were patched but not painted! Light single bulb hanging from ceiling! No amenities, not even ice bucket! The only thing possitive was location and clean. My husband became gravely ill and we had to leave quickly! The man at desk didn't even offer a partial refund! Would never stay there again!

This property needs to be torn down. Our first room was disgusting, toilet hadn’t been cleaned in months it appeared. Asked to be relocated and while the second room was better it was still rough. No smoke detector, just an exposed junction box. If you’re considering staying here don’t. Pitch a tent or stay in your car.

Property felt almost abandoned. Only 2 individuals stayed, no onsite presence. Pick key up under mat. Therefore, no access to ice machine. These needs to be moved so guests can access when no one there.

Great location to walk to dollar store, food and Brown county Music center. Not a fancy hotel but provided a safe, convenient, easy access over night stay. Plenty of parking if hauling a trailer

We checked out with 10 minutes of checking in. There were smashed bugs on the walls, stained towels, a ring of filth in the toilet, the dresser only had one of it's four drawers, the bed was broken and sloped heavily towards the headboard, the microwave was covered in a film of some kind, ... I was fully aware that the booking was unrefundable, but I figured it was probably a safe bet since it was on Expedia and had as many good reviews as bad. That was a terrible assumption - lesson learned. I feel like the listing and the positive reviews were horribly misleading, and that we were completely ripped off.

We chose Salt Lake Inn because we were attending a concert at Brown County Music Center. You can avoid the parking costs at the venue and walk from the inn. You can't get closer. Basic room with TV, microwave, frig. No coffee pot (but I'd brought one with). Recommend this hotel if you're wanting to stay overnight after a show.
