My room was right by the Bart rail tracks. I wish I had known. I would have asked for a different room. The trains ran every 10 min until 1:00 a.m. even with earplugs I could not sleep. I was falling asleep during the conference the next day. Never again.

I was disappointed that our room was never attended to even though we were out of our room by 9:30am. Kids running and screaming in the hallway outside our room was not acceptable. Half were high school athletes that should have known better. We’ve stayed here many times but it’s obviously just for people with children that don’t care about other people staying there.

The hotel only offers valet parking. There is a basement parking lot in the same building, but the lighting and access corridors were not very pleasant. When we arrived at the hotel and wanted to park briefly for check-in, the valet parking staff gave us a look and forced us to move. We didn't need valet parking at the time of arrival and planned to leave immediately after check-in. However, we had to park, pay for parking, and move, which took an additional 15 minutes. It was a somewhat unpleasant experience.

The front desk was terrible. When asked for water to take my medication she said my only option was to buy water from the store. Unless I had a Hilton reward card. I left before restaurant opened.

We always stay here when visiting our family in Walnut Creek. The rooms are actually suites with a large living room that has a large flat screen TV, microwave oven, sink, and refrigerator separate from the bedroom. The bedroom has very comfortable beds, another large fat screen TV, a writing desk, and ample storage. The included breakfast is actually quite good with a wide variety of choices, including cooked to order eggs and pancakes. The separate sit down restaurant/bar opens in the early evening and serves a variety of delicious entrees that are as good as any of the area’s restaurants. And hotel guests receive coupons for two complimentary drinks at the bar for each night of your stay.
