Welcome to The See Horse Corral within the Villas at Corolla Bay by KEES Vacations!

A carefree Outer Banks vacation awaits you at the See Horse Corral! Located just 4 blocks from the ocean at the Villas at Corolla Bay, you will enjoy all the amenities available at the resort. These include a community pool, basketball and sand volleyball.

This free-standing 4-bedroom townhome boasts both a great room and a den, as well as a private hot tub in the privacy-fenced patio area with additional seating. Everyone in your family will be able to find their own hiding spot!

The second level den features a mini kitchen with a small fridge, microwave and sink as well as a comfortable sofa for either finding a quiet moment or catching up on your reading. A TV may just tempt you to enjoy your favorite TV show. A bedroom with a Duo bunk and a full bathroom in the hallway complete this level.

The second level houses the other bedrooms. Here you'll find a King En Suite, a King bedroom and a Queen bedroom which share a full bath. You'll love the fun and inviting bedding colors.

The third level is the heart of the home, and you will definitely want to spend many hours sharing meals, laughter and conversation. The area is wonderfully bright, thanks to the abundance of windows. The lovely great room features a sectional sofa and fireplace, and the wood dining table can seat 6. The kitchen is a chef's delight! An efficient design, and everything needed to create anything from a simple snack to a gourmet meal. A convenient half bath is also located on this level.

This property has 3 parking spots for guests. Guests are permitted access to the garage.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.

**Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Hot Tubs are available year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Overall a good experience, a few things need attention
Ideally I would give this 3.5 stars out of 5, but VRBO doesn't allow 1/2 stars I stayed at this property in mid August 2023 with my family, 9 of us in total. The check-in process was super easy, we had gotten the door code in advance. There was plenty of room for us to gather in the third floor kitchen and living area, but there was also enough room where we could also spread out for some quiet time. The property is located about 1/4 mile of a walk from the beach. We used a beach set-up service, so the walk is not bad if you're bringing a beach towel and a backpack, but I think it would be more challenging if you were lugging a lot of gear. There is a community pool and sand volleyball court. They appeared to be in great shape and not overly crowded. We did not use either. We did use the hot tub a lot during the morning, and at night. It was a really nice amenity to have, and it was located near enough the exterior patio seating that a conversation could be had between those in the hot tub and those choosing to sit outside. There is also a lawn area which is just barely long enough for a few games of cornhole. Although as a whole, the property is roomy and generally clean, there are were a few things that needed attention that were not attended to during our stay. Most of these were minor, but the most irksome was the grill. The grill had not been cleaned and was full of grease and flies. It is unsalvagable and should not be listed as an amenity.

This house had everything we needed and was perfect for our group! The checkin and checkout was overall smooth. Pros: location, hot tub, 4 bathrooms, community pool/playground/volleyball. Cons: beds on 2nd floor are very hard; the dishwasher and washing machine barely worked. The AC went out during our stay and wasnt properly fixed - the bedrooms on the 2nd floor were very warm! The home is beautiful overall. Thanks for a memorable vacay!

Property was ok. Was told we couldn’t bring our 8 pound dog as no pets were allowed. When we got there the couch had dog hair on it. The showers did not drain well. Called Kees and left a vmail to fix. Nothing happened so I had to do it myself. Bad on management. Wasted my vacation fixing someone else’s problem. Won’t be using Kees again!

Great Location, Clean Inside, Outside Needs Major Attention
My family and I stayed at Villas at Corolla Bay in a different house earlier this summer and decided to come back for one last summer beach trip because we loved Corolla and specifically the location of Villas at Corolla Bay with the wide sidewalks that we could safely bike to ice cream, the lighthouse park and the trail along the sound. It also was an easy walk to the beach which we didn’t mind and the community pool was centrally located in the community. While we love the location and the layout of these homes in Corolla Bay, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of care that has been taken regarding the outside maintenance of the property. First impressions are everything and when we arrived it looked as if the carport had not been swept out the entire summer as there were several cigarette butts in the back of the carport and spider webs and sand in the corners. The inside looked clean and the furniture was nicer than you would expect in a rental. It would seem the owners haven’t stayed here recently as the kitchen is very limited with kitchenware, the knives were very dull & the electrical & manual can openers need to be replaced as it took 10 min to open 1 can. The coffee pot carafe could not be located, but thankfully there was a single Kurig pod to still be able to have morning coffee. We enjoy making frozen drinks, but there were no plastic cups to be able to take down to the hot tub or over to the pool to enjoy under the sun. The hot tub was low on water when we arrived as the jets were spitting up above the water line. I almost didn’t make it to the hot tub because the entrance off the media room has algae growing due to the overflowing A/C condensation drain being clogged. Glad I didn’t go on the right side of the hot tub either because there was a broken beer bottle from previous guests which had been there a while as the cap was rusted. Compared to other properties in Corolla Bay there isn’t really much furniture to enjoy sitting outdoors. When we did sit outdoors off the master balcony, we had to dodge the yellow jackets that seemed to be building their 3rd nest. It is obvious that the owners have not stayed here this year as I cannot imagine any Owner tolerating these conditions, especially since they are paying for it to be managed. I would not recommend staying at this property until these issues are addressed I would however stay at Villas at Corolla Bay again, but not at this place and not with KEES.

Hello, Overall the house was very nice, which makes it all the more frustrating that the numerous shortcomings were completely preventable from Vrbo/Kees' role in managing. Here is the list: 1.The sheets and covers were of very poor quality, some dirty, and there were not enough of them for all the mattresses. 2. There were not enough bath towels for the total number of potential guests. 3.The pull out sofa mattress appeared to be decades old and was absolutely disgusting. 4. The towel rack in the middle floor bathroom fell off upon first touch. 5. A drawer handle/panel in the kitchen was not attached, fell off, and sliced my foot. 6.Curtains in the top floor tv room had obvious stains. 7. The outdoor grill was extremely dirty and disgusting. Again, the house and location were great, but the things listed above were very preventable and show poor management and care.

Overall the place was a good location for a long weekend stay at the beach. Inside was clean and nicely decorated. Outside was a bit dirty and could definitely use some sprucing up, especially compared to the other houses in the neighborhood (some sweeping, mowing and power washing would go a long way). Be sure to bring a baby gate with small children as the kitchen is on the top floor. There were a few things missing upon arrival, along with outdoor lights that did not work on the side of the house and at the hot tub. However, this was quickly resolved by the host! Be sure to bring blankets for beds as there is a sheet and then a slightly thicker “sheet” on top but no comforters. Location was great just a few steps to the pool and short walk to the beach. Due to Covid the pool hours were 1pm-7pm which didn’t really make sense to not be able to use the pool till afternoon but nothing the host would have control over. Again, overall an enjoyable place to stay that just needs a little outdoor sprucing up to be an awesome vacation spot!

Just a short 5min walk to the beach, this property is perfect for a weekend or week-long getaway. The house had everything we needed (however, it would have been nice to have had a few ore towels provided with laundry detergent to wash dirty towels). Other than that, we had an excellent stay and recommend this property to all!
