Enjoy a serene and peaceful get away in this one of a kind fully furnished container cabin, also known as the Fortress in the Pines. Cabin sits on 10 private acres surrounded by tall pines and seasoned hardwoods, tucked into the Angelina National Forrest.
This cabin is the perfect place to unplug and recharge. Out here you can breathe a little deeper and smell the pine trees and fresh air. This is the place to be present with your family and friends. Enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting around a campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Drink in the sunset on the upper deck while sipping a glass of wine. Play card games. Watch birds. Take scenic walks. Sleep deeply in the absolute quiet waking up with the sun and the surrounding wildlife instead of an alarm.
The cabin is new and includes a private bedroom with a queen bed. The couch converts into an extra bed that can sleep two. Tankless water heater provides instant heat for your showers. Covered patio downstairs and top deck sitting/viewing area. Outdoor gas grill, fire pit, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and refrigerator. The cabin is stocked with cooking essentials as well as plenty of coffee. Due to its remote location, cell service is limited and based on your individual cell provider.
Wondering out will also be a breeze only 30 minutes away from Nacogdoches, oldest town in Texas and home of Stephen F. Austin University. Also, only 25 minutes from Lufkin, TX. If fishing is what you are looking for, Sam Rayburn Reservoir where fishing is second to none, is only minutes away with launch ramps only 2 miles away. For those that want a bit more adventure the Red Bug Cycle Park is minutes away.

Perfect Getaway!
Perfect little getaway for my partner and myself. The place was just as listed. We loved the rooftop sitting area, and made use of the hammock and fire pit! The cabin it's self was very cozy and just big enough for the 2 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, which made cooking there convenient. The location was nice. Out in the woods but only a few mes from the nearest stores. Very quiet and peaceful. Beyond satisfied and can't wait to go back.

Cute and cozy!
This cabin is awesome! A great place to go if you are looking to “check out” for a weekend. We were a little bummed that not all parks in the area were opened, but we eventually found Powell Park. Great place to hang out for the day. Cabin was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.

Fathers day trip
Perfect cozy cabin retreat nestled in the woods. It was a great recharge for the little time we had , very peaceful and comfortable. Host is very open, honest and is a very nice person. Cell service is only bad inside the container because of the material, I had great service right outside the door but that shouldn't matter on a vacation, this spot is great for an actual get away. We will for sure be back again .

Everything you need tucked away in the woods! It was peaceful, private, cozy, clean and comfortable! We were greeted with great hospitality by the owner who we’ve now connected as friends. It was perfect for me and my husband who spent the weekend fishing. Sad we didn’t bring our 2 teenage boys because there was room for them too! Owner was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed! We appreciate it so much and would definitely recommend this cozy container cabin!!!

Fishing tournament getaway
This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a busy wknd on the lake while in a bass fishing tournament so we didn’t get to enjoy all the festivities as much as we would’ve hoped, but it was a clean and comfy place to come home to after a long day on the water. Abel was very accommodating and I would definitely stay again! Great place.

Cozy getaway in a perfect setting!
This little gem is tucked away in a perfect spot! Close enough to civilization to not induce withdrawal symptoms, far enough into the wild to feel the connection with nature. Clean, cozy, everything you need to have a quiet and recharging weekend away from daily bustle. Host is very communicative, open and honest. One of my best experiences so far!

Just What the Doctor Ordered
I cannot say enough good things about Abel‘s place. Its location was perfect, adjacent to the Angelina National Forest. I walked right out my doorstep, hiked through a forrest and onto a beautiful lake. The container cabin concept blew me away. It was gorgeous, simple in nature as clean as a five star hotel room. if you’re looking for peace and quiet or being surrounded by a beautiful forest. Ables place is your best bet . Abel greeted me with open arms. I felt like family as he guided around his property describing the cabin, giving me lake directions and hiking advice. He truly cares about his guest and is proud of his place. No better combination for a host in my mind. I cannot wait to bring my kiddos to his place. They are going to lose their minds with all the natural beauty and discovery to be had at this property. I cant wait to see their smiles!

Papaws first birthday in heaven
Family trip to celebrate Pawpaws first birthday in heaven. Home located close to his favorite Lake Sam Rayburn. Our kids enjoyed the unique home. Although the kids locked us out on accident the owner was quick to the rescue. We knew Pawpaw was messing with us making sure the trip was memorable.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway
Abel was an excellent host! Very communicative and friendly. The cabin was very clean and even cuter than the pictures. It’s surrounded by forest so it was actually nice to sit outside and be completely shaded. A welcome break from the heat! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We had some but not a lot of cell service which was good bc we didn’t spend the weekend distracted by our phones. We really had such a relaxing time enjoying each others company. We plan on coming again when the weather gets cooler so we can enjoy the fire pit outside.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this container cabin. What a cool concept! Despite its small size, it was plenty big for us and our dog. The property manager has the place well-stocked. It is a short drive to the lake, where we spent the majority of our time fishing. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

No Services and No proper bed linens
It was not stated in the original ad which i have as proof that there was no service. Im a government employee and so I have personal and work internet as well as cell service on different networks and neither worked. No cabel or satellite so no t.v. it also stated sleeps 4 and in photos appears to be 2 room but its not. It does sleep 4 two on pull out sofa which was fine just photos deceiving and its was a very vague ade. There was a sheet on mattress then bedspread no top sheet and no regular sleeping pillows with sheet covers, only 2 with bedspread shames on them and throw pillow which are not cleaned. There is only a push in knob lock no deadbolts. Oh I was told those was for sleeping on. This was supposed to be stress free but the area is not a great place dumpy trailers such around and no way to call for help. Now the cabin is nice new but needs a bit of service at least to get help. I had to leave early as i didnt feel safe at all.

Middle of Nowhere!
Place is cute, clean & decorated nice!! No Wi-Fi -or- TV service. Only DVD player. Middle of nowhere & noisy when outside from oil drilling rigs. It was cool to experience staying in a storage container box, LOL but it is cramped.
