Great place for a ski break
We stayed here for a ski weekend at crested Butte. Was super convenient to bus taking you to ski area and not far from the downtown area. Had all the things you could need for cooking and a nice steam shower downstairs. No problems with check-in. Would recommend!

Surf Shack in the winter
This was an absolute gem. The location was a 3 minute drive to the nearest lift. The house was super cool and very comfortable. Private garage and driveway so our skis were safe. 5 minutes to Crested Butte and all it has to offer. I would and will stay there again. Property management company was easy to get in touch with and incredibly cool people. Made the stay even better.

Great stay in Crested Butte!
The surf shack was a great place for our family to stay while visiting Crested Butte. I was a bit skeptical about finding a good place since we were visiting in the summer (rather than ski season), but this place exceeded our expectations. It was a convenient location both for activities in Crested Butte and the Almont area. It was very comfortable for my three kids (ages 9-12), hubs, and me. My daughter loved the cows that grazed out back! The kitchen was well equipped for making meals at the house, or reheating leftovers from eating out. We opened windows at night, since we are from Texas and not used to no AC (it was 105 at home while we enjoyed 70-80 degree days in Colorado). We are hoping to come back someday to ski, and we'll look at using this property again, if we can.

The house was in a great location so it was easy to drive anywhere but it was also a nice little morning walk to go get breakfast. The view from the back of the house is beautiful. The house was really clean and well taken care of! It was a great stay!

Perfect vacation rental for family
We absolutely loved the Surf Shack! Its location in the Pitchfork neighborhood is fantastic, giving easy access to both the town and the mountain. The living room/kitchen area (on the second floor) is beautifully appointed, has great light, a view of the mountain, and an excellent TV. Kitchen is well supplied (although stove pilot light was out and disposal wasn't working at time). Bedrooms are very nice, with master in the basement. There is also a nice grill and some outdoor seating for enjoying the fresh air. Shay was very responsive and helpful. Would love to stay here again!

Wonderful condo - short walk to ski shuttle!
I stayed here with my son and a couple of his friends, so it was nice to have some space. I had the downstairs master en suite floor to myself and they had the first floor bedrooms and bathroom. The top level had an amazingly well appointed kitchen with everything you could ever hope for, and a comfy living area to hang out. If I could have given 6 stars for cleanliness I would have - it was spotless. We were on a ski trip so proximity to the shuttle was important to us, and it was a short, easy walk to catch the bus. The steam shower in the master bath was excellent and made up for not having a hot tub after a long day of skiing. The neighborhood we were in was so nice - very cute homes and friendly people, and the home was decorated super cute with a combo Hawaii/Colorado theme and very nice decor. The only downside I can mention is that the master bed is right next to the mechanical room which sometimes makes noise when cycling through whatever heating/water system was working. It didn’t bother me too much once I got used to it, but if you’re a light sleeper it could be a challenge. I highly recommend the Surf Shack and would stay here again if I had the chance!

Super
We enjoyed our stay! The views from the top floor are of particular note: Crested Butte is to the east and other mountains are to the west, which means snowy mountains catch lovely colorful sun rays both early and late in the day. The other mentionable was the convenience of catching the shuttle (available 2x per hour) both to and from Crested Butte each day!

Hang Time
We would stay here again. Our son lives in the neighborhood and it was wonderful to have all family time and our own time. Shared meals, walks in the neighborhood and visits. Easy free local mountain bus access to town of Crested Butte and healthy walk to the mountain base. Views were stunning. Loved the back field daily cows visiting! Fantastic farmers market on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte on Sunday with great socialization.

Amazing views and central location!
We loved our stay! The property is very clean and very well stocked….more than any I’ve experienced, really. The location is convenient to the mountain (about a 1/2 mile walk up or shuttle ride) and the town (1.5-2 mile drive, shuttle ride, or easy downhill walk/bike on a very nice path). We were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a herd of cows right outside the back window! So gorgeous!! Beds are v comfortable. Two rooms on the main floor with a bathroom, master and very nice master bath in the basement. Living area upstairs.

Wonderful Weekend
We had a great stay at the Surf Shack. Everything was as depicted/described and we loved the upstairs living room/kitchen. Also, the beds were quite comfortable. Getting to town was a little bit of a chore because the town shuttle only goes to the base of the mountain, but that was the only drawback. 10/10 would stay again!

Great house, perfect location
The “surf shack” was perfect for our skiing vacation time in Crested Butte. The shuttle to the base is just down the street. Do yourself a favor and stay in Mount Crested Butte instead of in the town....at the end of the day the shuttle bus line to get back to the town of Crested Butte was insane. The shuttle that drops off down the street was so much easier. The house is very well equipped and we appreciated that there were some spices in the cabinet to assist with cooking, aluminum foil, ziplock bags and other things that just made traveling so much easier. We left a few similar items that I hope the next renters will appreciate as well. We loved the heater in the living room at the end of a cold day. The only thing I might suggest would be an extra stool or two for the table in the kitchen? It was a little tight for our family of 5 at mealtime. Totally jealous of that refrigerator. Super cool. Would definitely stay there again if we come back to this ski area in the future.

Great Location. We are hikers and had access to many trails close by.
Property is a 3 level house so bathroom breaks involve stairs when relaxing in the common/kitchen area, but you should already know this and should not be a surprise.
