I loved staying here! The property is quaint and thoughtfully designed with children in mind. There are various activities around the property for children and adults, as well as in the cafe and in the main building. There is an indoor and o it door pool as well as an indoor hot tub that were all very clean. Some areas are dated and could use repair (such as the decks), but are functional. The feel good cafe served delicious food and coffee and was a fun place to just hang out. We will definitely return!

We had booked only one night at this hotel, I thought I had booked for 2 nights. When I found this out when checking in, they accommodated us by booking us in another room just 4 doors from our for the coming day. We enjoyed our rooms, and this hotel. If we return to Custer, we’ll definitely book accommodations with them. The staff were very friendly and enjoyable to talk to.

The Bavarian

A weekend getaway to the Black Hills. Always a pleasure to stay here, staff is very friendly and welcoming. Roos are clean and well appointed, outdoor pool is nice and indoor hot tub. Indoor pool looked nice but did not use. Restaurant on site for breakfast and pastries, all excellent. Will be back many times!

I couldn’t believe how inexpensive this place is compared to many of the lodging options in the Black Hills area. After I completed my reservation the day before I went I actually had the thought that maybe I made a mistake because most places at that price range were pretty dumpy looking and worried it would be also. I couldn’t believe it when I pulled in. The property is so nice, well kept, and has such charm. From the moment I drove in I felt like I had been transported to a small village hotel in the Alps. The staff are incredibly nice, very knowledgeable and made me feel extremely welcome. It’s almost like a mini resort with all of the amenities they offer. When I opened the door to my room I felt like I was walking into a posh high end hotel. Very modern, super clean and well taken care of. I conveniently only live four hours away and am already planning another visit on my next extended weekend just to get away. This place is truly a gem!
